On May, is he still technically with the Panthers? Everything ive read indicates hes effectuvely a free agent but i assumed he was still with the Panthers pending the outcome of the no fault which, according to V'Landys is now over?
Na, the Panthers released him.

My connection to the club was talking about it last night. He and his brother are both scum.

10 years is wild.
I can’t believe clubs are still doing these , even more bizarre that he’s not a competition top 5 player.

If he is 1.3 million what's Cleary worth? 2.5 plus?

After what was a terrible game, but a win nonetheless, I'm looking forward to the Rabbitohs being brought back down to reality this week, Dragons are going to kill us.

it's a match that I'm finding impossible to tip, tipped Souths just but that was before Wighton was suspended.

From a cap point of view, Hastings ($800k) and Brailey ($600k) come off the books next year so he easily fits in there.

He'll really have to develop a kicking game though.

I like that we're at least making a splash. Zero point in continuing to do what we've done recently.
The thing is that contract is not making a splash, it is pushing all your chips in to the middle of the table and you don't do that for Brown.

Who are we realistically landing that's better? Cleary, Hughes, Moses, Hynes aren't going anywhere.

I just don’t agree that overpaying a good player with great money leads to premiership success which is the ultimate goal.

I wish the knights the best with him, but you are putting all your chips in in a long shot.

Oh I agree with that.

To be completely honest with you though, we won’t ever win a premiership again. We have to pay overs to convince players to come here and even then, we aren’t getting the cream of the crop.

Did you poach Justin Pascoe from my Tigers ? That’s straight out of his recipe book

Oh I have some funny stories about him :tearsofjoy: he was certainly an odd cat.
I’ll never forget the awkward look of ‘oh **** no’ Junior Pearce gave him when Pascoe approached him on the fox special tiger town a few years back when Madge was coaching us 😂😂

I guess the only way was up for the Warriors, after frankly looking the chumps of the six men's teams on show in Vegas. I didn't think they were brilliant, but they had a few neat plays, and plenty of spirit. And Manly, as I always feel, are not all that. Cracking contest in the second game, great win for the Roosters. Penrith were a bit off it. I think it's fair to say, they miss Luai. What team wouldn't; he is world-class, and surely offers more in both defence and attack than his current replacement does. Cleary is still all class, though.

Manly were bending the rules most of the night. Nice to see the form reversal.

Great game at Parra and a fantastic win for the Roosters.
I wasn't at the game, so impossible to know if the offside calls were fair or not.

But the number of ruck infringements given against Manly seemed insanely high. I was watching closely and I honestly didn't think a lot were deserved. And a lot didn't seem any different to what Warriors were getting away with.

The constant string of them broke the Manly forwards through fatigue. It looked like it was going to be an epic contest, but was ruined by the referee's constant intervention, in my opinion.

Like I said, Warriors forwards got on top, and that was the ball game.

Teams don't really change stylistically week to week, so I don't know why they copped so many this week, and nowhere near as many last week.

I know I am sounding like another whingeing supporter. It just felt so unbalanced.

At half time I was wondering why someone hadn't been sinbinned already.

I like to think I see the games a bit differently these days, but Manly seemed intent to slow the game down and ultimately ended up with someone in the bin.

At 6-0 I thought here we go again. To their credit they fought back and deserved the win. Hopefully DCE is ok. Didn't look like much, but clearly in a lot of pain.
