As a west supporter i have to agree with the lalor boys, the umpiring was terrible in the last quarter, some iffy decisions paid to late contact after disposing of the ball, high tackles, holding the balls. But in regards to the 25m penalties, most were there, but some were rediculas. The lalor boys just kept mouthing off when they should of just taken it on the chin. Theres no changing an umpires decision. And its fair to say the umpiring was ordinary all day, not just the last quarter, or just the seniors game, but the reserves game as well.

be constructive rather than claim everyone hates Lalor, umpires cheat blah blah blah, its boring! .

I can't say that I often side with umpires and being an umpire is absolutely the last job in the world that i would ever consider taking up.

But, I'd almost be prepared to become an umpire if it meant doing the Lalor games each week of the season.

Then, and only then, could the Lalor crowd truly say that the Umpire hated them. :D

Hi all, i don't usually post here but i was talking to Kevin Smith on the weekend and he was adamant that a red card is NOT an automatic report.

Just wanted to clear up any confusion. Keep up the great chat!!!

Yeah! Until someone who ultimately has a "conflict of interest" gets in the ear of someone who, for reasons best known to himself, is prepared to lend it  Assuming you're not aware, that type of behaviour constitutes corrupt conduct.

No Regards

M.O.T.H / J&B,

What is the go with Mont. not putting in the scores, goal kickers & best players on NFL website on Sat Evening each week??

I know you blokes are doing renos etc at the Constructadome, but surely someone owns a 'puter or has a mobile phone to someone who has a 'puter to put scores in???

Not sure if or how it applies, but there is provision for fines under NFL By-laws for not putting score details on time, not that Mont needs to worry about Moula$$$ at all.

Fines at least from 2007 were:
2007 FINE STRUCTURE

FAILURE TO PROVIDE BEST PLAYERS/GOAL KICKERS 11.2(d) $60.00
FAILURE TO PROVIDE SCORES 11.2(d) $100.00
SUPPLYING INCORRECT SCORES 11.2(e) $100.00

BTW, In 2007, The Panthers had No - home ground, and Nomadic or otherwise, were still expected to and Mostly complied with, getting score details in on time!

Its annoying having to wait a few days to see the full details of the game. Not interested in Mont, just the teams that play Mont,;)

Stooge is it true that you got smashed by some young bloke from west yesterday?

na not true. I got a nice head but off an older bloke it gave me a couta fat lip, apparently when i was on the ground some dago was punching me in the back maybe it was him who flogged me

You Are A GOOSE !

Heidleberg gave the Cougars a football lesson in the ressies and seniors. Was rubbish to smashed by that much but in awe of their football movement. Young kid who umpired the Magoos needs to protect the players head a little more, focus on the basic free's then move onto the more complex decisions.

I work with a Rob Cahill who plays at Heidelberg. I hear he goes OK, can anyone enlighten me ?
Had the fortune of watching the rise and rise of Robbie over the years and can say his recent form has been great. Racks up 30plus possies week in week out on his wing and would be one of the most underrated players in the valley. I mentioned to him only last week that we're not worthy of having a player of his caliber running around in the 2's. He loves it at the Den and as the skipper, sets a fine example for others to follow. A Tiger for life and all round "nice guy" as he's commonly referred.

Heidelberg set to appeal Young's verdict tonight. Word is he'll be back playing this weekend.
Understand the legal brief is intriguing and will challenge several points of process/procedure.
Also understand that if the Tigers achieve their desired outcomes there could be a a few job vacancies at NFL House.

Super footballer, an even better bloke.

Hottip, if you knew Robbie, you wouldn't be worried about us talking him up, really is a genuine nice guy, very few of them left...good taste in music too!!!:D

It wasn't a crack at Rob Cahill at all or the fact you were talking him up. I was just breaking the mould of a long string of Heidelberg posts in a row, all aimed at talking the club up and pumping the club's tyres up!

As I said to Boof, no need to lose your sense of humour, don't have to take things on here so seriously and/or personally!

Kickass

Moving on to more important issues I have it from inside the Tiger camp that Trewey doesn't feel his current match fitness is up to tagging you on Saturday week. I have been approached to come out of retirement and fill that role.

I have rung APIA and attempted to get personal insurance however they won't cover use of a motorised wheelchair on a football ground but would if it was used it in the "special" olympics.

Do you think this is discriminatory ?

I'm sorry to hear Trewey is not up to it, but I can understand why that old pea heart of his has pulpitated at such a challenge (SSSssh, please don't mentioned that too him!!)

Yes APIA are a bitch! No way the old Overton Insurance would have treated you like that ;)

BTW, No need to worry about the motorised wheelchair for during the game, However, you might want to put a booking in place for exclusive use of an iron Lung in at The Austin for after the match .

P.S - I'm certainly no walk up (scratch that - Limp up) Start either you know

Forgot to mention the chair is powered by a Ducati 999 engine (maybe that was the sticking point with APIA !)
I am willing to wax as long as I have use of the chair into the wind.
