Disagree, a mid table side would have a gameplan built around ball movement and scoring, which we'd be able to beat them at. It's these totally negative scragging teams that really give us trouble

We got it in the first half last week against the Lions as well, but everything that was a free in the first was let go in the second and the lions were able to scrap their way back into the game. It will be interesting to see if the umps are as lenient in the second half this week.

I suspect the umpires are not at a level this league requires, are inconsistent in what they call and let go and miss too many obvious frees.

Every week we get the commentary favouring the opposition.

It really detracts from the viewing experience.

fundamentally disagree that we got the "rub of the green" in the first half. one side came to play football and the other side came to stop them, in games like that the free kick count should be extremely lopsided to ensure that the product of the game isn't ultimately a scragging shitfest. if the AFL want women's footy to be an attractive watchable game, they need umpires who can understand this and crack down adequately.

MKing with 11 tackles is a highlight. Kearney a general down back. Hard to see what's happening at the other end but the GWS supporters I'm with are disappointed but glad it's not a blow out.

the commentators are just trying to tell the story of a game that is fundamentally not happening. GWS aren't scoring because their shithouse shutdown gameplan doesn't look like scoring, the comeback is not on, they cannot win by "believing in their system." Need to hire some people who actually understand the game to commentate
