If we had pick 4 though it mightn’t be FOS or Jagga….def wouldn’t be FOS. North having 4 and Crows 2 could change a lot of stuff around I think. Fun times ahead. Maybe we’d take Langford? Dunno.
Think Tigers have a made a blue here myself, if they haven’t stitched up a deal with North. First 2 being FOS and Lalor could be a pretty dynamic midfield IMO. There’s still no guarantee you take Lalor I guess to.
Anyway, plenty of permutations to come yet.
I spose punters like you and me can only speculate.

There are three ways to look at a full rebuild. Go hard on the best mids, or build a spine first knowing they take longer to develop. Or a bit of both.

Personally I like the thought of setting up our spine with a combination of 10 (Armstrong/Shanahan), 18 (MWhitlock) and 23 (Gerryn/Dodson). While at the same time picking two top mids and looking at picking the best half forward, half back, winger or small forward in the open draft at 11.

There’s pros and cons of each, and it will be interesting to see what path they go down.

I’d be happy to take all our picks to the draft and pick over a variety of positions. Then pick the best mid next year. Which is the likely scenario.

Only seeing north from the outside, I would have thought that you’d have inside grunt sorted with LDU and Wardlaw. Outside run with Sheezel and McKercher. Lalor as a point of difference would be nice but he’ll be gone at 4. Draper would complement your mix nicely but assume he’s the Crows target. Langford while good might be too one paced with the group you’ve got. Jagga might be the one that provides the best option as the extractor and set up man?

Whole thing feels like 6+11+18 for 2 and F1, then you can mix it and be painted as 6+18 for 2 and 11 for F1, or whatever, but we will never know.
Both clubs supporters be “happy not happy”……it kinda works. Provided we are confident Tauru gets to 6 or even 11, if that’s who we are actually locked in on.
Am sure we’d want 10+11, but wouldn’t get up. Do tigers have any later picks at 30+?
Also very possible 6+18 and we keep our F1 in the deal……feels light on to me, but I know it doesn’t to others.
I’m still holding out hope we manage to trade F1 with Adelaide, that’d be my perfect/dream set up…..especially if Draper is gone in first 2 or 3.
If we pick Draper at #2 l cant see the Crows trading out their #4 for our F1st just through spite..and it still wont make getting Sharp a sure thing for them next year

Not sure why Richmond picks are constantly being discussed by Nth fans

Richmond have not made a blue, Richmond have 8 picks in the top 24

Nth have 1 pick in the top 60
Not sure why North's pick 2 is constantly discussed by Tiger fans.

Nth are adding pick 2 to these picks over the last 4 years - 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 13, 20, 22, 22, 23, 26.

Unlike the Tigers we don't need a heap of picks as we aren't at the start of our rebuild and we didn't have 3 of our best 5 players walk out of our club.

If only Nths brainstrust had the same view

Everyone knows that Nths pick 2 and your F1 is for sale

Lets see what you get for those picks.

Every pick is for sale at the right price.

We have 2 picks - the Nth brain trust have the same view - or we would have kept out picks this year.

Cal just on Sen

Predicts No pick swaps before draft
Pick 2 very much on the table
Nth looking to trade Pick 2 to Adelaide for pick 4
Richmond will keep early picks, will not trade pick 6 for pick 2

Hope Nth do trade to Adelaide, last thing I want is for FOS to be in a Carlton jumper
The issue with doing this is Adelaide dont have anything in this years picks that they can bundle with their #4 to do a swap with our #2 as their next pick is #64. A future pick wont help as North want more picks in this years draft and if GC wouldn't do a swap with our F1st for their #13 what hope will Adelaide have of off loading a Future pick.
Adelaides #4 is definately the sweet spot for our #2 but getting it done so that we get something in the range of 14- 23 is going to be hard.
If Adelaide want to use their F1st then maybe approach the tiggers for discussions between one or combinations of 18,20 and 23 or GWS for 15, 16, and 21. We could also send our F1st with our #2 for a swap so we get the extra picks and and the Crows get pick #2 and our F1st...

We could also keep our #2 and shop our F1st around maybe to GWS preferrably.

completely agree

Adelaide have nothing to offer other than F1, and there is a line out the door with teams trying to flog them.

There must be another side deal involved, but it will not involve Richmond, must be GWS

I think you are right, we should've invested more in KP players, but have a look at the list of the ones that have been "unavailable" to us.
Jamarra
Darcy
Walter
Thilthorpe (went before our pick)
..........?

I think there's more, but when you have high picks you HAVE to take best available, and there's no one, other than Will Phillips, who I feel we got wrong.......still hold out hope for WiPhi and I don't rate Logan MacDonald that highly anyway.

We did invest in 2 KP's last year, Will Dawson looks a monster, in the Harris Andrews mould(that word looks odd) to me, and Goad is the full project player, so couple years off.

We need a peak Tom Lynch, no doubt, but that ain't easy.
Keep your eye out for Will Dawson though, looks very promising.

You've named some good looking players in your 10-18-23 combos......I reckon we will be trying to get our hands on one or 2 of those as well.

Nothing is a sure thing.....I'd like their chances on Sharp though. I think we'd need their pick 4 before the draft, but who knows. I don't think clubs deal in spite, too risky.

I’ve got a feeling a deal has been done…….Brady talking, according to Cal, to a few players in the teens area.
I was saying the 10+11 as what we would/would’ve wanted, if our F1 involved…..that’s the way I see them involved …….most likely 1 of them you’d think if combined with the 2 etc
Our F1, more so than most teams, barring WC, would have to be a worth a top 10 pick*

*Even in this draft

Something’s gone down I’m tipping and it’s that Tigers could possibly have 1+2 in consecutive years. Or close to
Personally i dont believe any F1 will get a top 14 pick in this years draft unless there is something going back the other way. Every pick prior to #15 will be tightly held and wont be traded out for pick to pick
St Kilda may trade up and down to get #2 and similar with Richmond but a straight out #10 for F1 wont happen imo
