Come. On. Down. Nick. Haynes.

I mean I knew he was cooked. But I thought he'd look serviceable against a Tiger's forward line that has only 1 player I can name. I WAS WRONG. SO WRONG.

God Carlton are dogshit. I am thankful to be here. What a start to the season.

We predicted this:

Agree totally with the list analysis.

But he’s been there a while now and the fact that they haven’t seriously tried to address their issues both tactically and list wise is troubling.

I get that the second key defender options aren't great but why haven’t they told 2FA Weitering to stop following decoys to irrelevant space?

Why not go recruit a tall goober to do a job to free him up (Haynes doesn’t count as he’s been legally dead for 2 plus seasons).

I get he’s susceptible to scams but it keeps happening. At some point that’s on the coach.

Would I be correct in assuming that me going to the Carlton board and posting that they replicated our game against them last year so they were a lock for the flag as an encouraging remark might just introduce me to the concept of a ban in BigFooty?

When we were a bad team playing against decent experienced teams, as the bad team you could always get a little run on in periods of the game but it was largely ineffectual due to the system of the good team. You just kinda get swatted away like an annoying fly. It is extremely rare that you see what we saw last night, a 'decent team' with no system.

After Richmond kicked a goal it was hard to see where another one was going to come from. And even though Carlton got 7 goals up it wasn't any sort of good football that got them here.

Then Carlton couldn't do anything. When they got it they just pin pointed the opposition. Totally ran out of legs.

It's going to be an enjoyable watch if they really are that bad.

On another point Weitering needs to trim down . He moves like the Titanic and once he commits to a certain positioning he's virtually useless if he gets that wrong. Not a good trait from your prime backman.

CampervanWeitering needs all that muscle if he's going to try to hold the entire blues defence together.

I wasn't at the game so this is just wild speculation, but seems to me like ol'Campervan just let himself be taken to irrelevant positions in the second half by Lynch as the Tigers moved the ball elsewhere.

Classic 2FA behaviour, give him another AA.

Even Lynch was able to do the old double back on him.

Weitering looked confused at times , I thinking not entirely his doing.

Carlton had a system in the first half and it was working for them. When Richmond brought the pressure they continually crapped the bed.

Their list build is based on a handful of A graders they go to water when the heat is on and the rest are budget plodders. Are they the lowest footy IQ side in the comp?

Not as low as us when they beat us in Round 1 last year.

Nah. Last night was way worse. At least we were able to arrest the momentum against us mid-game and even mid-quarter. Against a much better team than the team Carlton played last night.

Carlton last night just lost the plot completely, and were never able to find it again.

And it was glorious.

I’ve done my best to erase that game from memory.
Maybe there’s still hope for Vossy.
Well clearly they thought they had it won and when the Tigers started to hit a few targets the cupboard was bare.

They're not as bad as last night which was a complete breakdown of whatever their gameplan is.

I'm not writing them off yet but I could understand anyone who has.
