8. Geelong has an embarrassment of riches

The Cats won by 85 points on Saturday and were missing Jeremy Cameron, Rhys Stanley, Mitch Duncan and Sam Menegola. All bar Stanley is a walk-up start in the Cats' best 22 and all four are expected to be fit for the team's first final= - Trent Masenhelder

Hopefully this guy wrote Stanley instead of Menegola otherwise he should stop writing about Geelong because he knows jack s**t
Our last 2 weeks have kept us out of the headlines. Plus, Clarko, Rutten and the exciting matchups that have determined the top 8.

We’re very under the radar for a team finishing on top.

Personally, I’m very happy to see that that best teams got in to the finals and some are in great form.

I want to see Geelong win by defeating genuine challengers.

Bones are bad for cats and dogs .

Cooked bones 🤪
how are you feeling about the big game next week? My normal reaction would be that Geelong will spank us, but fmd, we just keep finding ways to win. anyway, good luck for the rest of the year

It's one thing to have a team of good players, but it's time for the Cats to bring it. No excuses this year.
This is it. The premiers take it, they are not given an inch. They will have to fight for their lives to win the cup.

If the cats players truly want it, theyll show us.

Let’s also not forget something vital that is often overlooked.

Quite a few of our players were there when we lost in 2020.

We were dominating and it was taken from us.

They know how it feels to be so close.

That experience is worth so much, it will galvanise them and make them ready for war. They will know that it will take supreme relentless effort.

Wonder if they learnt what went wrong in the dying stages last week. Time will tell I guess.

Guess they didn't learn a damn thing...

This isn't Zorko's first time with overstepping when going the sledge - that would be influencing how things are being reported
I still thought it was disgusting that the media attacked Scarlo for standing up for Bartel more than questioning Harvey behaviour

It helped that Harvey was such a protected “respected” player , but the number of incidents shouldn’t matter what Harvey said to Bartel was beyond the pale

Pardon the intrusion - I come in peace.

Not that it makes a difference, but had there been a collective preference to play Collingwood in the QF or were you hoping for Freo?

The Purple Brigade is obviously miserable in missing out on Top 4, not least of all because Cats and Freo have historically had incredible battles and dare I say it, we've had the edge in finals over the past decade.

Times are different now and it makes no difference, but would you have preferred the mental edge in hosting an interstate side? Or is there a sense that we are a 'bogey side', the same way that Carlton are for us (regardless of our form).

For what its worth I think you'd have beaten us reasonably comfortably, but wouldn't mind some Cats views on an absolutely pointless concept.

I guess the best thing to do now would be for you to send the Pies to us in Week 2 and we send them out in straight sets in front of 100,000 and the nation.

I suppose we would always prefer an interstate side as at least we would get the home crowd advantage. But with sat twilight final I don't see why we couldn't get something approaching 50-50 representation.
