Darcy when fit is a better ruck than Meek.

The advantage of having Meek is he is cheaper salary cap wise, more durable, and we could have got some picks from trading out Darcy.

This is the problem with Rucks, you really only need 1.

Darcy when fit… he barely ever is, that’s the issue.

I thought he was terrible on the Fox Derby coverage. He was complaining about the umpires at one stage and Pav had to have a go at him. I wish he didn't touch anything to do with us, he's too biased.

I havent watched the other games with WC in him but I've liked him personally on the Freo games he's done. Absurdly bias with WC playing though

No big money long term deals to ex players just pulling in complete rando past players and coaches to keep it fresh and sell that sweet sweet nostalgia ….. if there’s a trainwreck or two all the better

Not gonna lie, I've never cared about losing Meek and to this day, it still doesn't bother me one bit

I just see it as part of list management and how the draft/salary cap is structured to even the competition out. I know we aren’t on a level playing field because of the AFL’s BS academies, father sons etc. but my point still stands.

I’m not overly convinced Meek would’ve stayed even if Darcy was traded tbh. Who’s to say he wouldn’t have got stuck behind Jackson instead of Darcy. Jackson would’ve been no.1 in Round One 2023 on ability. Feel like there’s too many Captain Hindsights on here when is reality life is lived in the now. Darcy was a better ruck than Meek at the time and probably still is. Meek is older too. We’d make the same decision again 110%.

He's been pretty pivotal so far this season, they've beaten Sydney, Essendon, Carlton and GWS and in those games he's beaten Grundy, Draper and Briggs and held his own against TDK.

I'd say he loss to Draper and got pantsed by TDK personally. He did beat Grundy, that's true, but it's also worth noting he got subbed out against us because he is clearly underdone. Meek is a good ruckman, but I'm not buying this "best in the business", that's just embarrassing journalism

Simmo > Pav on the commentary. I actually strongly dislike Pav on commentary, reckon he's borderline trash.

I wanted Simmo as an assistant when he got sacked and I'd happily welcome him to the club even now.

I think he's been really decent whenever West Coast weren't playing, he's just a bit too close to the club still to be impartial when it's an Eagles game. He was great in the Freo v Swans game.

I have never forgiven him for his attitude after the Brayshaw, Gaff incident (I know how to hold a grudge) but I think he is good on the tv.
