Think that is really interesting that Noble said a straight up no. There were a few rumours going around about the toxic nature of the Cornes boys on the playing group, I wonder if any of that was substantiated and that is why Noble didn't want him because from a playing point of view, Kane would have been a handy addition in the forward half at worst.

I've had the pleasure(?) of going to matches plenty of times where the Cats have played various teams at Pork Barrel Park. I don't reckon its ever been as "even" as 30% visiting team - more like 90/10

Technically it would, because you'd include Werribee in the outer west of Melbourne in the radius.

The rest of the area actually is Greater Geelong, which has a massive LGA. It includes the city itself plus the entire Bellarine peninsula and Lara

The realistic population of Geelong supporters in the area would be Greater Geelong and the Surf Coast Shire (Torquay etc) which combined is around 330k people

They have had alot of space in their cap for years and would have forward paid alot of their existing players leaving room in the cap moving forward.
