I think it is best all round if Lachie gets back to WA as soon as possible.

He and his wife will be close to their family which appears to be very important to them and the Brisbane Lions can get on with training up some younger guys to fill the gap (there are some exciting young chaps coming through). I am a Lion from the Fitzroy days so I am passionate about our club and of course sad to lose a great person first (you can see that) and footballer second however, no point in keeping a player against his inner want or feelings.

Lachie has shown he has been happy at our club and has given us great service. As a supporter I say thanks to Lachie and all the best in your next chapter.

The paparazzi have been out the front of his house now since Sunday and he has cars following him every time he leave the house. I wouldn't blame them to want to get out of Brisbane now & I wouldn't blame The Lions for wanting to do some kind of deal if there is a sweet offer on the table.

Lachie told the club they want to leave Brissy, what are you on about? You don't put yourself through this speculation and pain and discuss breaking a contract if you are happy.

Can you stop acting as if you have definitive knowledge of the situation, or if you do - explain and validate your knowledge of the situation? of you can't then your opinion is as valid as anymore else claiming to know what Jules thinks.

Also, he is worth alot of money because he has eyes on him, those eyes don't turn away when things turn nasty. If he is so worried about being impacted by his actions and copping attention, learn to manage his affairs better - I don't dislike either of them, but fame and fortune comes at a cost and I don't really feel sorry for them.

And why would they want to get out of Brisbane now? what has Brisbane done wrong? if anything, they have treated him with absolute class and he should want to stay more.

Melbourne have no decent picks so can't see it happening unless a player like that is involved. Unless they think a 2nd rounder and next years first will do it

Just don't see the things you state that you know as fact & how events have unfolded aligning very well.

And I have no dogs in the fight one way or the other, not judging either of them in anyway no matter how this pans out. It's only a game of footy. I love my team but don't get worked up over things I have zero control over.

I do think though it's a bit hypocritical of any of our supporters to be up in arms over a player who broke a contract to come & play for us to then do the same to us lol. I'm sure we'll get fair compensation, the same way we gave fair compensation to trade him in.

I appreciate today it's all been the Neale's playing the victim card, however as many posters here have put it beautifully. This is all their cause. It was clear to me and many others they tried to manipulate an exit that blew up in their face. The media live on this sort of sh*t and they should have known it because this is history repeating for them. The only victim here is our club, and rightly many people are pissed off at the Neals for causing this shitstorm. Instead of looking forward how to improve the list to go deeper in the finals next year, now our club has to deal how to minimise the damage and regression to the list.
