It will be a case of merge or wither. I dont think the league will exist in its current form within 5 years. If the Lions did go Bendigo you would think Gissy would be gone to Ballarat wouldnt you otherwise travelling would be a pain. Maine might fallover if they dont have success;) and you cant really see Maryborough returning to BFL.

Lion's aren't going to BFL.

The Maine had their chance to play the Lions this year.. Canceled on us, you can only assume they were terrified.
 
Lion's by over 100
Bulls by over 150
Sea Lake 40 points
Bort 30

Bulls side have their strongest ressies side in yonks. Only going to help their seniors.

Also looking at the seconds scores all 3 completed games won by 120 points or more. Lack of numbers/depth a huge worry. You would think some pride needs to be swallowed and mergers to happen sooner rather than later.

The points system rejig was ridiculous. You'd have to restrict the big 3 (Sea Lake, Bulls, Calder) to 25 points to make any difference. Even then, Sea Lake barely used 30 points in last years GF side.

Still think numbers need to be reduced to 15 a side. That should happen over every league, including AFL.

Just not even worth going when it's this one sided.

Almost as if 4th spot is not where you want to finish if your going to get docked points. The strength of these 3 teams means those below are going to have to merge if they are to win any final.

Yep mens, womens and kids comps every week. Even have a bye round in footy to accommodate state titles in a Melbourne in May or June. One of the few leagues if not the only one statewide where hockey footy and netball all play under the same banner.

That's actually quite brilliant. Does it impact footy numbers or simply attract a different type of sports person?
