The Bulls have been stung.
However more a slap on the wrist, and made 1-2 people lives a little more painful needing to attend some extra training and undertake the Integrity Review.

Birchip-Watchem Football Club (Birchip Watchem FC)
  • Charges: The Birchip Watchem Football Club were issued 2 administrative breach notices relating to identified anomalies regarding the management of player payment rules, which were referred to an AFL Central Victoria Region Council
  • Outcomes: The AFL Central Victoria Region Council determined the following penalties:
    • Mandatory Attendance at the 2025 AFL Central Victoria CCSP Education Session
    • Mandatory 2025 AFL Victoria Integrity Review (club to pay for the cost of review)
    • Suspended Fine of $5,000 (for a period of 12-months)
    • Formal Reprimand

Slapped with a wet lettuce leaf. What a waste of time if this is the outcome. AFLVIC continues to look like a waste of money and resources from a groundroots footy view.

He wouldnt come cheap either I would imagine.
Yep i think it's okay, he's best suited to a club rebuilding, with no chance of finals to straighten them up and provide a target in the forward 50. If I'm pushing for finals or a big chance to win it, I'm not going near him

Why are you going nowhere near him?

I think that'll be where they end up, there'll be more mergers in the league yet
It will be a case of merge or wither. I dont think the league will exist in its current form within 5 years. If the Lions did go Bendigo you would think Gissy would be gone to Ballarat wouldnt you otherwise travelling would be a pain. Maine might fallover if they dont have success;) and you cant really see Maryborough returning to BFL.

Lion's aren't going to BFL.

The Maine had their chance to play the Lions this year.. Canceled on us, you can only assume they were terrified.

Just a bunch of mates wanting to play together for the love of the sport. Nothing to see here, just move on.
Does anyone know who did the weeky times team?. I'm guessing he was from Wedderburn. Tonkin on the wing.WTF
Laughable…Ben Rose, Ben Walklate, Glenn Wyatt to name a couple of much better options

Lion's by over 100
Bulls by over 150
Sea Lake 40 points
Bort 30

Bulls side have their strongest ressies side in yonks. Only going to help their seniors.

Charlton already down by over 100 and it's not even 3 quarter time. New points system doing wonders..........
Also looking at the seconds scores all 3 completed games won by 120 points or more. Lack of numbers/depth a huge worry. You would think some pride needs to be swallowed and mergers to happen sooner rather than later.

The points system rejig was ridiculous. You'd have to restrict the big 3 (Sea Lake, Bulls, Calder) to 25 points to make any difference. Even then, Sea Lake barely used 30 points in last years GF side.

Still think numbers need to be reduced to 15 a side. That should happen over every league, including AFL.

Just not even worth going when it's this one sided.
