I have been sitting here since the game ended feeling numb, but now the tears have set in and the reality has hit!

All I want to say is I am proud of the boys and the performance tonight.

I love the Carlton Football Club!

Yeh good on you Bee :thumbsu:

Yeah and where did I mention Russel? Hammer should've been brought in at Davies expense.

He gets the blame because he cost us two of the most unnecessary goals of the night, one of which with his stupid tough guy act. I hope he feels real tough now.

When he went forward he was hopeless, Glass pushed off him so easily he might as well have not been there. Hampson would've been a much tougher match up
Guess you're just another emotional Carlton supporter using a player to vent.

Blaming Davies is ridiculous.

We didn't even get enough clean centre breaks and inside fifties to give someone like Hampson a chance.

Bad argument.

We are all so proud of the boys Bee... the sting of the way we lost is going to be around for a while... (no pun intended)

Completely gutted and hurting now.

Not squealing about umps one way or the other - just their interference in the game as a whole. How is it they can put the ****ing thing away in the final term? How is a free kick in the first quarter suddenly not one in the last? Anyway, we were beaten fair and square in one of the great finals of all time. :thumbsu:

WHy can't they pay the same rules they play in the grand final, agree with you there, there were no rules in the last quarter bcos the crowd was going off, but I think it was even with the bad calls, just ours cost us goals....

DW Bee we will be back next year, this team has shown tremendous resolve all year and once we get our better players back in Kruze, Gibbs and Waite and they get another pre season under their belt, we will fight back and be a force to be reckoned with next year.

We didn't get over the line against a top 4 side all year, but we got pretty close every time. We are not far off :thumbsu:

But by all means, allow him to slag off another Carlton youngster. I guess you can't be the complete supporter without a whipping boy.

Not really blaming Davies just frustrated that we put a 20yo with average, at best, form in a game like this when we have someone like Russell. I think he'll be a good player but he's not yet and shouldn't have been there.

What did that injury to Gibbs cost us?

Spot on losing Gibbs really hurt, ****en Essendon..:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
Russell would have been way better that Davies, he covers the ground much better..Oh well It looks like it will be 16 flags all.

Very proud. Very heart broken.

We were robbed, but still had our chances.

The duigan missed free in the last killed us. Mark. Hit across the head. Lost control. Goal to them. Sincerely ****ed us.

We will be top two next year. Mark my words.

Of all the poor decisions, that's the one that stands out to me.

Hey you peanut, that Carlton youngster let a few bumps get to him and cost his team an important goal in an important final for nothing! You're damn right I'm pissed off with him and had he not done that we probably would've won!

Maybe you enjoy living in fairy land where every player can do no wrong but I don't! And if you wanna take a shot at supporters with a whipping boy look no further than the good General himself who has been having a go at Carrazzo for a while now.

Lads could someone explain the sub rule to me?
Just trying to figure out what Zacs role would have been.
Did he get much game-time?

It's a genius rule, brought in by the AFL to stop the overuse of the interchange and to lower the amount of injuries .

Zacs role if he played the whole game?.. Across half-back i guess.

Played the 2nd half after Thornton went off. Showed ALOT and will be a very good player for us in 2012.

Just such a crucial time and such an obvious free.

Honestly don't think anyone played a bad game- except our champ, but how often will that happen?

Wish people would get off Davies back. Has been v good for us and our structure the last six weeks. Very versatile, a good defender and is getting better with the footy. Will play in a flag for us.

I live in a world where being a support includes supporting the team and players first and foremost.

Supporters like you, that seek out players to pin blame on, should be ashamed.

Agree in theory, but being disapponted in a player gifting the opposition a goal in a knockout final that we lost by 3 points is hardly seeking him out.

His form even in the VFL never warranted a call up, should not have played a senior game all year let alone a final.
And whats with that tool that was calling hendo a dud, was one of our best tonight and deserves massive wraps.

Why would an uncontracted coach who needed to make the finals pick a player who didn't deserve promotion?

Carrazzo is one of our whipping boys, but he was smashed tonight.

Davies is a second year player and not one of our leaders.

Wasn't disgraced like everyone makes out.

Murphy's kicking for goal was as costly as any of the errors our players made.

Lol so now I'm seeking him out am I? He quite clearly cost us and I have nothing to be ashamed of. I'm sorry but if a player wants to be selfish and risk throwing the whole team's season with a stupid act then I will not support him.

He shouldn't have been played in the first place.

Gutted, but really proud of the boy's tremendous efforts tonight. We went in strong and hard and nearly came away with it. Left nothing on the field and that's all you can ask of your boys. It's been a fantastic ride this year and pretty confident next year we can go that bit further.

BUT... full credit must go to West Coast. They are a magnificent football side who have my complete admiration for how quickly they bounced back from last year. If they had a Pendlebury or a Thomas in their midfield they'd be flag favourites. Great loyal fan base as well.
