Can I ask what you didn't like about it given you think it's the weakest volume of Starks trilogy?
I just didn't find it entertaining. It has the cheesiest jokes out of the whole universe, I don't think the action is particular great and I just found it boring, again, compared to the rest. I enjoyed every other movie more than I did this one. (I could probably swap 1 and 2 around just because I think the ending fight in number 2 is shit)

Nah that's fair, just a pet hate of mine where people flog off movies as "I was bored" since there's obviously more things to it, as if being bored was the only gripe then I'm amazed people actually see the movie to its conclusion to form a judgement on it.

Im watching them again, starying with Cap the first avenger about halfway through it

I do love little Cap before he gets the muscles

Keep in mind I am comparing it with the other movies of the franchise. They are not shit movies per se, I just rank them below every other movie here.

So only took me 3 weeks and two goes to finish Cap, nice little movie, had forgotten a few things like the laser guns pew pew

Next up is Iron Man when I get some free time and feel like watching a movie, at this rate I may get done some time after Avengers 10 :)

pew pew! hahahaha!!!

i watched a bit of iron man 3 the other night. steaming pile of shit.

I must be the only person on the planet who didn't mind the Trevor twist. Made me chuckle.

If the actual villain had been a bit more compelling than a phoning-it-in Guy Pearce it'd be much better remembered.
I enjoyed it; Shane Black was never going to serve up bog standard comic book fare. Best of the three Iron Man movies, for mine.

The first Iron Man is the definition of perfection in terms of comic book adapted movies. Had it all, the protagonist, an origin story that wasn't rushed or a bore fest, a memorable score and a solid villain with respectable henchmen.

I didn't like Iron Man much at all, I wasn't particularly into Marvel at the time. Found it a bit boring myself whereas Iron Man 3 was more interesting.

Also, Superman I is the perfect origin movie, everything since has been effectively using the same template.

I can cop people liking iron man 3 (I didn’t but I can get it) but best of the 3... nahhhhhh
Yeah my memory says the worst but will see when i get back round to it again

Iron Man 2 sucked big time.

Shane Black hasn't made a bad movie as near as I can remember. The most important thing about Iron Man 3 is not going in with expectations of a regular comic book movie.

The character stuff and PTSD was good (not great) but at the end of the day it IS a comic book movie and there are certain expectations in doing that, if Shane wants to buck the trend and go outside of the sphere that's his call but its going to get more heat if he misses the mark (which I think he did)

Sure, similar to how Rian Johnson is catching flak for Star Wars. But I think they are happy to wear the heat if they produce something original and different that some people love.
