Agree, was a fun movie.

Eternals was a snore fest.

I reckon Marvel’s in a spot of bother at the moment.

When you build to a crescendo like Endgame it’s obviously pretty hard to back it up, and I thought both of Black Widow and Shang Chi were a bit limp. I was hoping Shang Chi might be a bit more low key and grounded but no, they had to have dueling f’ing dragons in the sky and two armies charging at each other in Oriental Middle Earth ffs.

I’m enthusiastic about NWH but it was referred to recently as Spider-Man Endgame.

The D+ series have all just been ok and the universe is getting quite stuffed now. I think they’d be better off going back to some smaller scale films like the first Iron Man and building back up again.

Agree about Spidey. Not so much the shows. They've been watchable and enjoyable but not overwhelming. Loki the pic for me.

There's all sorts of rumours about mutants turning up soon, Namor, Beta Ray Bill, and we know Adam Warlock, Nova and Kang are coming.....these films are going to huge.

You have the mainline heroes, Strange/Wandavision/Shang Chi lean into the magic/mystical side of Marvel, Spidey 3 will blend the two, you have the intergalactic stuff with GOTG.

With a new Blade movie, Strange is already established, would need someone to come in as Moon Knight, Hellstrom, Kale and Hannibal King. The only issue would be the Punisher, do you go someone new or bring in Jon Bernthal to reprise the role.
And you would need someone to make a good Ghost Rider movie.

Sweet didn't know about that, so you have a fairly big chunk of the Midnight Sons already. Could potentially add Morbius to that, but I worry that movie will tank.

Sony movie will for sure be either average or tank but you’re right most of the sons are there already besides Ghost rider

Agreed. The entire Gulmira sequence when he returns to Afghanistan is a particular highlight.

Saw Venom 2, the only interesting part of the movie is the end credits, but to be honest I really don't like Hardy as Brock. Just isn't the right character for him. I actually think Tom Hardy makes a better Flash Thompson when he is Agent Venom.

I also hated how they ****ing did Carnage in this movie. Honestly, if they wanted to do another Spidey trilogy after these three, I would be having movie 1 introducing Spiderman to Venom who should be as physically big as Chris Hemsworth in comparison to Holland. Have Spidey find the symbiote, get rid of it halfway through the film, have it find its way to an angry Eddie Brock and end the movie after their confrontation.
Second movie have them cross paths while at the same time he is up against a new villain like Kraven the Hunter, or crossing paths with Black Cat, and end the movie with a truce after setting up Carnage.
Have the third movie Carnage on a massive murder rampage, and the Spidey/Venom team up to take him down.

Honestly Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety came out in the 90s this isn't that hard.

Just follows up on my complaints that the any of the characters are nothing like the comics , Hardy a fantastic actor but having a comically moron for a Eddie Brock was the wrong way to go about it imo even worse having Woody as carnage was just mind blowing stupid to me.

Haven't seen the film but Woody as Cletus really doesn't seem like bad casting to me.

It was really just a nothing Sony movie, rushed to be made to cash in from how well the first one did.

Carnage was wasted, Woody not bad as Cletus but the whole thing wasn't really well put onto the screen, short run time also didn't help.
Would love for Marvel to be able to do it's own version of this Hardy/Venom because I think he does a good job.
