I'd put up the hypothesis that Burgess wanted Pedlar to play thru the injury, and get games under his belt .....rather than cutting his season short, and missing valuable games

Sounds about right.

Burgess managed to get Pedlar through 14 SANFL games and 3 AFL games (2 as medi-sub) - at least partially through them anyway.

An improvement on last year, 10 SANFL games and 2 AFL games.

And I have not claimed I had a source, in fact I said I didn't. But the information that we weren't getting Rankine came from someone very involved in the situation, a handful of posters know who I am talking about and its not one I can share on here. It was a one off. Now as has been reported things changed, the fact the Alphabet Man keeps bringing it up just shows he's a troll. He's even tagging me on other boards.
