It was team wide. I wouldn't blame the players for the way that team moved the footy. I don't think it was Mayne leaving that completely altered the way we moved the footy.

So was Pendlebury. It was team tactics. We went safe chip kicking out of the backline because forward half turnovers was killing teams, but safe chip kicks killed us.

Pendlebury wasn’t consistently receiving the ball in acres of space on the wing only to hold it up then go backwards.

Yes he was. The whole team was.

It wasn't what you wanted him to do, but considering he did the same thing week after week and got picked and praised, it was pretty clearly something the coaches were happy with. Do you really think that he was expected to wheel and go and move it quickly but was defying instructions and still getting praise and continual selection?

No he wasn’t. The whole team wasn’t.

Even his opposite winger Tom Phillips didn’t hold the ball up like Mayne would. Even Daicos when he played in the wing under Bucks didn’t play like that.

When did I say he was going against the coaches instructions when holding the ball up?

Both were brought in as pressure and tackling forwards.

Mayne kicked 11 goals in 5 seasons.

Amazing performance from the Garden Gnome. Was one of our best, and I wish he recovers quick from the concussion.
