Did he take to the field and if he did why isn't it upon sportingpulse ?
Given the player himself is the last one to complete the clearance and registration process, I find it hard to believe he was cleared and registered to Stanhope and didnt know. The player himself can't complete the transfer process untill he has been cleared .
He did take to the field for a short time so technically he did play in the game but obviously the computer work wasn't completed .

Executive Respond To Tribunal Decision

The KDFNL Independent Tribunal last night ruled that Stanhope have been cleared to play in the Senior Preliminary Final this Saturday at Lancaster as well as being issued with a fine of $2,000.

KDFNL Executive Member Vin Edwards has acknowledged that the League will accept the Tribunal’s decision.

"The League’s Independent Tribunal has handed down their verdict and the Executive will accept this decision and move on in the best interests of clubs and the KDFNL’s many supporters" he said.

"With all of the information at hand and the facts in front of us the Executive had no choice on Monday night to follow the bylaws and make the heartbreaking decision to rule Stanhope had played an ineligible player in the Semi Final last weekend and would forfeit the game."

"While we agonised over the decision and took no joy whatsoever in the outcome we followed the appropriate and thorough process and applied our bylaws in the correct manner."

"However, the independent Tribunal have made their call and we are disappointed that their decision last night did not uphold our bylaws and endorse the decision that the Executive made.

"The matter has been an extremely stressful and difficult one for all parties involved and any outcome was always going to be a loss scenario in one way or the other."

"It is also important for our supporters to understand that as soon as the issue arose KDFNL President Wayne Ryan and Senior Vice President Sandy Ryan both excused themselves from all deliberations and discussions due to their previous associations at Stanhope."

"That was an important component of the process to ensure it was fair, open and free from any real or perceived conflict of interest."

"The Executive have also determined that player Alex O’Reilly has been ruled ineligible to play this Saturday as per League Bylaw 41.2."

"With all of that being said we will now move on and finalise preparations for what will be a massive day at Lancaster on Saturday for our football and netball Preliminary Finals."

Did he get reported last week ?

41.2 Any player registered with their club after the start of round 1 and/or played at
another club through permit of clearance in the current season must play six (6) club
Home and Away games to be eligible to compete in the Finals Series during the
current season.

So if I get it correct , they are saying they played an inelgible player but are not enforcing the penalty as long as they dont do it again ?

Cheating bastards

It's embarrassing

When does the board get spilled

The KDFL executive are seemingly fuming about the tribunal result but don't want this saga to drag on further.
Isn't the "independent tribunal" the usual culprit of these annual fiascos? Can we sack them and employ Guido as our judge and jury on all things KDL. I'd rather a dictatorship than this crap

Sounds like they are saying you cheated in the Ardmona game so that's 2k , we will give you the benefit of the doubt in the Undera game but we don't want the alleged player in the team in case any more shit hits the fan , correct me if I'm wrong .

thats all fine but if that is true why did they refer it to the tribunal. A tribunal which most including upon here believe has a track record of bowing to anything Findlay. The minute Stanhope knew it was going to tribunal the only thing they had to get was get Findlay and they were back in the finals.
I can't understand how it got referred to the tribunal , the fact it did only clouds things and brings the whole process into question .
I hope Stanhope play him this week. , there is no possible way they can be stopped playing him.

If he was deemed an eligible player last week how can they deem him ineligible this week if he has done nothing to justify suspension. They play him it gets referred back to the tribunal .

To convene a tribunal a player, official or body must have been charged. At what point did the tribunal gain appellate jurisdiction? Unless playing an in eligible player is an offence under the jurisdiction of a tribunal how did it get there? What exactly was the charge?

Yeah true , has he been suspended by the tribunal or have Stanhope just agreed not to play him ?
