agreed, was really surprised to see Bewick had won the MVP. Did you see the first game? looked much better at half back in that second half against Oakleigh.

Early days, of course, but is there a player / type you would comp them to? For both Bewick and Rodan.

I have never seen them, so just trying to get an idea on playstyle etc.

Did you watch Daicos at a 16yo for Carey? Considering he didn’t play any high level footy until his draft year

Easy comparison but Bewick has the Daicos kind of silk, clean in traffic, skills are quite neat. Maybe not as high production but gives an idea of type of player.

Rodan im not quite sure of, first thought was a bit of Caleb Serong. Just a powerful midfielder with neat but not elite skills.

One thing with Rodan is he is a bit of an early developer body wise. Need to look at where he will be in 3-4 years time compared to others.

4 Cannons were selected for the game,

Olu Olekan, Jad Naim, Ahmad Abdallah, Coen McGrath all picked. Results are scarce at the moment

(i) have sent a message to see if Abdallah is eligible for us
(ii) Jad Naim was named best on ground for the match

Another second round pick should cover it if the bids are later in the first round.

Trouble is with so many academy and FS kids there might be a few others on the hunt for picks as well

Bewick got a good review on the draft board for the trial game today.

Have previously shared thoughts on Bewick of a mate of mine who’s in recruiting at AFL level.

He watched today and was effusive in his praise. Apparently the standard today was very, very high and he stood out as exceptional even in that context.
