Typical of many people in Australian society, that protest is ok as long as nobody notices and it doesn't disturb anyone's day.

New government data shows just 422,000 square metres of regional roads were rehabilitated or resurfaced in 2023-24, down from 9 million square metres a year earlier.
It means maintenance works were completed on road areas the size of 21 MCGs last year, compared to 450 MCGs the year prior.

There was plenty of money available to put in 1,000's of kms of wire barriers, but apparently not enough to fix the actual roads themselvesWouldn’t have anything to do with successive govts slicing and dicing vicroads would it?
