The problem with Trump is that he believes his own press that he is chosen by God, the greatest person who ever walked the earth, the Supreme Leader of the world, the great negotiator and those sycophants around him and his cult reinforce this hence his disastrous policies.
It's a crazy illustration of the human psyche that so many in the US swallow his persona. I mean, you can be a died in the wool right winger, libertarian, whatever, but it doesn't mean you can't also see that Trump is a grifter.

It's a cult & this board has followers.

Even more from Trump’s Freedom loving party.
Yet here you whinge about a few days being forced to mask up or stay at home during a pandemic which was killing millions.

Anyone supporting the GOP is a total hypocrite or a total moron. Not serious people.

In Iran she would be stoned to death

" This claim is inaccurate. In Mississippi, a girl r*ped and impregnated by her father is not required to carry the baby to term or face life imprisonment. Mississippi’s abortion law includes an exception allowing abortion in cases of rape, provided a formal charge is filed with law enforcement. There are no laws in Mississippi that impose life imprisonment on a pregnant person for seeking an abortion in such circumstances. Penalties, if any, would typically target providers violating abortion laws, not the individual seeking the procedure"

So she can terminate as long as she presses charges? Right, so a 12 year old girl has to go through the indignity of court in order to terminate. Assuming the offender is caught or even identifiable. That's a society you want to live in?

They may have got the state wrong, but there are 9 for which that statement is accurate. What do you have to say about that?

So, you are saying the state may be incorrect but the in those states you mentioned she must carry the baby to term, or be thrown in prison for life. Thats what the post was saying. Get real.

As of April 2025, no U.S. states have total abortion bans with no exceptions in effect, based on available data. All states with near-total bans include at least some exceptions, typically to save the life of the pregnant person, though these are often criticized as narrow or vague. Here’s a breakdown of states with the most restrictive bans and their exceptions, to clarify the landscape:

  • Alabama: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions.
  • Arkansas: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions.
  • Idaho: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions, rape, incest (with reporting requirements).
  • Indiana: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions, rape, incest, lethal fetal anomalies (up to 20 weeks).
  • Kentucky: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions.
  • Louisiana: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions, lethal fetal anomalies.
  • Mississippi: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions, rape (with reporting requirement).
  • Oklahoma: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions, rape, incest (with reporting requirements).
  • South Dakota: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions.
  • Tennessee: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions.
  • Texas: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions or serious risk of substantial bodily impairment.
  • West Virginia: Near-total ban. Exceptions: Life-threatening conditions, rape, incest (up to 8 weeks for adults, 14 weeks for minors), lethal fetal anomalies.
Notes:
  • No state completely lacks exceptions, but exceptions are often so restrictive (e.g., requiring imminent death or police reports for rape) that they’re nearly inaccessible in practice.

  • Missouri and North Dakota had near-total bans but saw changes in 2024. Missouri’s ban was overturned by a ballot measure (Amendment 3), legalizing abortion up to viability, though services haven’t fully resumed. North Dakota’s ban was struck down by a court, and no providers operate there currently.

The pregnant person wont get jailed, but the provider will.

Again, I ask you, are you happy for a 12 year old rape victim to be denied access to a termination?

A 12 y.o. should have options. Agree.
The post I replied to was a statement from OGC's post saying a 12-year-old rape must carry the baby to term or be thrown in prison for life.

Fact check: not true.

If that's the straw you're clutching mate, it's no wonder you just stay in the shadows liking your MAGA mates' posts.

You're hanging on the fact that a 12 year old wont be thrown in prison for life (although her doctor will). I mean, you really want to split hairs like that? OK...

kirky the blue wave is coming.🤣 Fake news CNN wouldn't make this up would they. Ties in with congressional dems polling between 20-28% favorability ;)

The tariffs haven’t started to hit yet. Give it time.

You do get it that voting isn’t compulsory in USA and mid-terms turnout is generally lower than a presidential election. And Trump’s name isn’t on the ballot in the midterms, so the MAGA nutjobs probably won’t vote.

Perhaps educate yourself on the history of US elections.
