Stuff like that can't be real surely?

"I trusted that your team would be far more inclusive"?? Like I know they can be a bit challenged over there but no one is that dumb lol
Same kinda folk are bleating about trump cancelling the insulin cap.

Undocumented Mexicans voted for trump ffs…. There’s a lot of low information people in this world.

This is Liz Truss/Kwasi Kwarteng level economic stuff.

Yes. Many, many people are.

So not surprised. I've interacted with some guys online in a forum who are LE. Basic conservatives, used to be at least rational and able to debate normie GOP policies. Since Obama, but severely escalated since 2016, they they've been less fact based and more Fox or some right-wing grifter quoting. For a while you could persuade them with actual real world facts, but not possible anymore. Any conspiracy floated, like Liz Cheney being guilty of some heinous crime on a par with the worst of the J6 seditionists, is completely absorbed by them and believed. It is scary and sad.

Mention Liz voted with Trump 93% of the time.

Again how can that be real? Like do some people legit think there is some sort of register to make anyone who voted for Trump exempt from his harshest policies?
Conservatives lack the EQ required to consider the circumstances of others, and live in a state of believing in their own exceptionalism.

Hence the proliferation of moments like this. Nothing is a problem until it effects them personally.

Oh yeah we have, and Kinzinger's as well. The more normie guys concede it's all about the cult. The others basically just ignore the questions or observations about them.
I could respect those two and the others who have shown courage and morals, and even some of their conservative politics; the ones that were based on responsible government. But in the before times and into the Cult Era, I despised them. First for their support for curbing rights; gay, voters, abortion etc. Second for being lockstep with Trump, including the tax bill, until the insurrection. Then at least they showed they had some principles.
Right now, there's one guy, long term forum member who's recently returned after years away, who's laughing/snarking at us for being told to be enraged by the EOs by the pied-piper lib media. Particularly the firing of the IGs. :rolleyesv1:

I have some sympathy for people who have loved ones taken away.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who lose out financially after voting for Trump and Elmo who went on stage saying they would cut $2 trillion from government spending.

Everyone thought that the carve-outs that are always put in place for the rich would also be put in place for all citizens who voted for Trump.

Even now they are STILL confused as to why they have gotten no special consideration. They are begging for what they thought they bought with their vote.

They gave their money to a con man.

I find that they can be compassionate on an individual level, but they often lack the foresight or depth of thought to connect their everyday actions with their political beliefs.

Similarly, leftists can say the right things, but not actually live up to their beliefs when push comes to shove.
