I watched the 30 for 30 on Reggie White today. I thought it did a pretty reasonable job of covering all sides of a very complicated legacy. I don't know that it makes me feel a lot better about Reggie White the homophobe and misogynist, but I guess its heartening to learn that, even 20 years ago before it pretty much became mandatory, he took it upon himself to keep learning and growing.

They also accidently say out loud the reason they tried hard this year is because the exclusive NFL contract is going to expire soon.

There were segments on Joe Montana football, NFL Gameday and 2K with 2K getting the most time spent and all the Madden devs just shit on them and refuse to say they ever lost to them or that 2K ever had a better game.

Its strange part of the time they are fine talking about the things Madden got lazy with since being the only game but its also not really harsh on the series. only some game journos are the ones who really call them out for getting complacent with the lack of competition

Very interesting, sounds like it'd be worth the watch.
 
Its just 4 episodes 45/50min each. Has heaps of archive footage on the making of the series from the start to now. most of it i dont think has ever been shown. archive interviews with John.

I watched this last night and this morning, I thought it was an incredible waste of time, and was beyond delusional in their retelling of their story.

Seeing Madden's involvement was interesting at least.
 
Most of the EA guys were bullshitting. and from the start you could tell were unreliable narrators.

Like the guy who was director this year saying the build they were using for the streamers and influencers was less then 24hrs old.

No studio is putting a code like that for a play test with streamers.
