Big koka was unavailable mate but will certainly be playing Moore and Fishera the 2 ex Kdl players looked good I’m confident the swans will play finals and take a few scalps on the way

echuca fall off or an improved united?

I started reading their team ... B Reid, S Reid, Valentine, Byrne, Morris ... saw Evans ... stopped reading.
Doubt they will fall off.
Early season energy can often catch a really good side off guard a little. Hopefully a proud successful club like United have and will improve but they and most others won't hold a candle to Echuca by the end of 18 weeks and beyond imo.

I watched all three GF's they won last year. They won't lose much if anything with those who step up to the seniors WB.

Was hoping for at least some close games but the closest was 6 goals between Ky-Euroa, Ech-SU and Mansf-Moor.
Might have been some wind at Mansfield, as Mooroopna got out to a 3 goal lead at QT, then after QT Mansfield kicked 10 goals to 1
Going to be a long year for Tatura, Benalla and possible Seymour.
Shepparton could have won by more, 23 behinds.
Looks like Echuca just took a while to get going.
Rochester looks good
Kyabram got the job down in the first quarter and after that was pretty even. Interesting Euroa was on lowest points 22, do they have any recruits. There 2s got pumped, so any injuries thy may struggle.
Echuca, Shepp, Rochester and Ky for the top 4, then Mansfield and Swans
Round 2 does not excite me, will be interesting how United goes against Mansfield at Deakin.
Regarding the 2s, 5 games over 86 points. Going to be a long year for some clubs

I'm not sure that Echuca is as strong as past years. Only really had Liam Tenace missing from its strongest side.

They will still make top 4, great depth from the 2s to come up and play the role. Also sure there will be some 18s to come up, plus pioneers kids to play every so often and possibly finals.
Still Flag favs and will probably finish on top. The loss of the Willoughby's is tough to cover.

Rd 5 will see where Echuca is at against Shepparton. They have Euroa, Tatura and Benalla which should be easy wins
Rochester the clear team to beat in my opinion. Shepp might improve but think they will beat up on the lower teams and then be tested come the pointy end. Rochy have some good kids coming through, some top end VFL talent and the boys from the Bendigo league will be better for the run last year. A fit Hoopell and Gordon help, they were banged up at the end of the year.

They haven’t got near Echuca when it has counted for a long time, and they are still the team to beat unless proven otherwise. Rochy don’t have the cattle to match them IMO.
They ( Rochy ) got the points in an early season game a couple of years when holding Echuca scoreless .

Echuca won that game by 50 points but had their score wiped afterwards for something I can't remember
