Haha - I have the same list. Only WA & this one left to tick off.
QANTAS owns Jetstar and are just about as evil says the man who waited 6 months for the refund they owed me and got half back. Too bad, so sad.
It's close enough to drive, even from Kiama (two drivers of course).
Ditto Adelaide.
Perth not so much.

Drive to the GC is easy as nowadays. I had a delivery to do at Byron.
I left Wollongong at 5am. Was at Byron around 1.15 Even with a decent stop at Coffs. So GC would be 2.20 ish.
The road is amazing nowadays.

Are you driving a petrol car, and if so how many tanks of petrol is that return? 3?

Great preview Membling! Except I'm not sure how you settled on GC's 22. Thanks Jirik for your post and suggested GC line up. I have more faith you're on the money.

As for our best 22, I want Sheldrick as sub ahead of Roberts. I'm impressed you managed to squeeze Parker and Chad on to the bench! Fox's absence may indeed give Braeden a chance - he needs some way into the team. In that case I wonder if they'll consider swapping Harry C and Braeden around according to how they and the game is going?

I like KiamaChris's predicted scoreline. I'll take it.

Fox Footy's predicted round 1 side is good, reads pretty much exactly as you'd think (besides Stephens in forward pocket??), and then it gets to the interchange. McLean offering more ruck versatility than Reid? Reid being a like-for-like swap with Buddy?

WTAF

Swans’ predicted Round 1 team

B: Tom McCartin, Paddy McCartin, Nick Blakey

HB: Jake Lloyd, Dane Rampe, Oliver Florent

C: Callum Mills, James Rowbottom, Errol Gulden

HF: Isaac Heeney, Logan McDonald, Will Hayward

F: Tom Papley, Lance Franklin, Dylan Stephens

FOLL: Peter Ladhams, Chad Warner, Luke Parker

I/C: Justin McInerney, Braeden Campbell, Hayden McLean, Harry Cunningham, Matt Roberts

We say:
Last year’s grand finalists will head into Round 1 without ruckman Tom Hickey. That leaves a hefty load on the shoulders of Peter Ladhams, with Hayden McLean likely to edge out Sam Reid for the bench role given his ruck versatility. Veteran Lance Franklin still needs to prove his fitness after struggling with a calf complaint in the new year. But Reid looms as the like-for-like swap for coach John Longmire should Franklin need another week. Ultimately, don’t expect to see a new-look Swans line up in 2023 given the success they enjoyed last season.

If you imagine that the Fox Footy Expert didn't watch our pre-season games (possibly any for several years), it makes it easier to understand.

Taking my four year old
For his first ever AFL game

Pretty confident I’ll be leaving at half time due to his attention span but I gotta start somewhere.

Pretty pumped regardless
Aww:hearteyes:Plenty of photos in the red and white to celeb the big day.

Last time I went to Carrara stadium it was hard as I took a bus there and the stop was a long way away. It was for the cricket. Bit of a pain but since its an AFL event I assume there would be shuttle buses from Surfers Paradise. Decided to uber it on the way home.

Anyways, back from the cricket and now to footy season...

The road is great.
Will be even better once the Coffs bypass is in.

Then they need to work out the bit around Newcastle and it’ll be 110 almost all the way

Well it's game on. Only a cancelled flight can stand in my way!! Interesting getting tickets. Level one seemed to have only the back row available. Level 2 had massive sections unavailable and others offering the very back row only. Be interesting to see what the crowd is like. It's either going to be decent or There are going to be sections filled to the back while others sit empty.

The Newcastle bypass has Federal and State Govt land and planning approval.

By-passing Hexham, but not Heatherbray... which means there will still be an 80 stretch through Heatherbray. :( No idea why!
