Take your chances , many of them gifted and it wouldn't come down to one decision.

Adelaide aren't the first team to suffer from human error and won't be the last . Given they benefit more often than not at home (including the second half yesterday) stiff shit!

An absolutely crazy theory a few mates thought up after watching the game that I wouldn't put past the AFL.

The ARC 'snicko' is a fabrication.

It's easy enough to create a sound file then 'marry' it to vision.

Why does it take so long for the screen with different camera angles and snicko in the bottom right to be produced?

Should be straight forward.

Noticed how many ARC snicko sound waves have a flatline despite the obvious noise of the crowd and the posts themselves?

Hasn't the AFL stated that on one occasion that snicko was ineffective due to crowd noise?

I said BS but dang it's got me thinking!
Welcome to Bigfooty President Trump.

Swans are actually from South Melbourne originally, actually. There are a lot of very influential south melbourne people pulling the strings.
If you can rig a dog race, you can rig a footy match.

Just ask the old South Melbourne Bloods members who used to split timekeeper employment roles between Sandown Greyhounds and Port Melbourne/Dandenong General Motors Holden factories.

Is it the elephant in the room that Sydney, who have form in climbing the goal post, just 'happened' to slap the post and shake it as the ball was passing?

This clearly influenced the umpire who made the decision it was the ball rather than the players.

It wouldn't be worth mentioning if Sydney hadn't done it before. This could be where the AFL investigation ends up, its a definite line of enquiry.

Libba senior kicked a goal in 97, Crows know how we felt a little bit

Don't remember ever seeing a definitive camera angle where it shows that it was a goal - link please?

Also Colbert non-mark?? The way people bring that up you'd think it was in the goal square late in the 4th -- it was 40m out and in the 3rd, hardly guaranteed goal stuff - plus it was 26 years ago I mean come on

Why do people keep bringing up snicko, the camera angles alone show it was a clear goal.

All teams practice hitting the goals posts in sync with the ball crossing, that’s well known.

Have it on good authority that the goal post was actually vibrated by the Jewish space lasers.

Swans players were smart getting the ball back in quickly to prevent a review. I reckon if they’d waited another few seconds the umpire would have held it up.
I noticed that and now after viewing the additional footage the best explanation is that the Swans players knew it was a goal. Footy is a hard game.

That's what the review is there for. How this umpire was certain his decision was correct and review wasn't required should cost him his job. Afl should automatically review everything in last 5 minute of games. Additionally Adelaide should be awarded the win by afl and Sydney given a loss
Does that mean Carlton loses 4 points and Melbourne gets another 4 points?

nahhh its umpires call. He had the best view of it.
I would have called it the same way as well.
I've read that a few times, and even though it's largely an irrelevant and silly argument - I have to question whether the umpire could actually see it at all.

In all the shots, his view seems to be completed impeded by two Swans players.

The AFL considers itself professional. It is not professional. With the amount of revenue it takes in from antisocial behaviours you’d assume it’d get the basics right re the integrity of the game. Not only does it not care about the fans, it totally degrades the game and ruins what should be a professional spectacle.

Just want to put it out there that I think the AFL needs to look at reversing the result, but there is no chance there will. They will say that there would have been 20 seconds left for Sydney to win the game.

But if you are Adelaide, you have so many chances this year to sew up a chance in the 8. Should have beaten Collingwood twice, should have beaten Melbourne and Brisbane and proceeded to get flogged by the Gold Coast twice.

Interesting, I didn't know that, but i don't go to trainings. Do they do it to confuse the umpire or is there another reason?

Using the review and it being inconclusive is no where near as bad as being conclusive and not being reviewed.

Conclusive and not being used = at worst case the match is fixed. Best case the umpires incompetent
