Maybe Cats stadium should play this song pre-game...

With a bit of Ford in the advertising...

Imagine sinking some tinnies and this gets cranked at the stadium, its game on. No soft songs okay, no love ballads.

Probably not entirely family friendly. lol

Thats where the accountant comes in.
You take a 5 year deal, you can buy 2 houses.
You take a 10 year deal and buy 4 properties and they'll probably all double in value before the contract is up. And it won't matter if you lose a leg after 4 years.
To be fair, the problem isn't the money. The problem is that you are tied to one club for ten years.

Sorry to play contrarian, but Limp Bizkit reminds me of all the kinds of people at Woodstock '99 that I would move suburbs to avoid.

The NHL and the like tend to stick to Welcome to the Jungle, We Will Rock You etc for good reason. They're pump-up songs, but they aren't as divisive.

Please remember to stick with discussing the topic and refrain from crossing that line into personal swipes

We don't all need to agree, and fair to say that majority of the time we don't but that doesn't mean it's ok to cross into personal attack territory
My apologies. I am Jhye Clark's biggest fan and there have been a lot of swipes, so it's started to take a toll on my personal, work and home life.

But seriously, noted.

Just out of curiosity, is there a connection to Jhye here?

I too am a fan. Probably moreso the intensity or verocity Jhye attacks every single contest. It's not something you see with young players. Most have been drafted because of their athletical attributes and size.
Jhye is almost too overzealous for his own good.

If he can just get a decent crack at it, I think his style will translate really well into the modern game.

he hasn't had a lack of opportunity, what you described is exactly what we need hence the link with rowell.

i do like to see either clark or knevett make it big this year as i think we should have a steady stream of draftees coming on instead of scouring the FA market.

People forget that the median age at a Geelong home match is 72, it's symbiotic, we can't afford to scare away the audience and the local nursing homes need the time to do a deep clean every couple of weeks.

Honestly the growl they added to the start of the GFC videos is scary enough

No connection, just far too loyal to certain players who cop a bit of schtick for being a waste of a pick, but also play in a way that I enjoy watching. It happened with Nakia, is happening with Toby and Jhye, and it will probably happen again.

Tangentially related but I saw an insta reel the other day where it showed what you think a 50 year plane looks like

And what a 50 year old jet actually looks like

Was Tom Cruise flying a relic or am I the relic?

Probably both CTTF but you're not alone, none-the-less we still have our family photo albums to prove to the kids that once upon a time we weren't always relics!

A blast from the 'distant past' Footnote: When I was kid I could sketch 'all the Thunderbirds'...... Thunderbirds are GO !!!

I almost don't have the heart to tell you that I'm a middle aged man with grey hair and 3 kids, and Thunderbirds came out 20 years before I was born

I'm likely slightly younger than you, yet as if I was discovering a lost manuscript from a bygone civilisation, there was a single video was avaible to rent at the video store in Blairgowrie.

Based on what is happening in the NBA I really am not looking forward to in season player trades

Different in the NBA because A) clubs can trade players without consent and b) because of the apron and luxury tax rules.

Afl mid season trades will be ho hum it will be mostly fringe players moving except for injury replacements (eg a ruck or a kpd to fill an injured players spot).

I reckon Bailey Smith will turn it on for us. But I get this impression he will be at another club after us... not sure why
Odd comment when he has acreage in the area and according to all I've read he has been embraced, well-liked, firing and is very content.

What the ? Thats not the original obviously. More like Thunder turkeys when done in that cartoon like representation. Yep… a sure sign of human Botrytis cinerea is the dismal of all remakes as “not as good as the original”...

If as reported I cant see a deal going down of that magnitude and details in or out of season... Apparently both main players knew little or nothing of the trade. Can you imagine Gee and Dogs just trading Cameron and JUH …without any player input? A different world. I suspect the only way we get big mid season trades is some sort of financial benefit for player… so we are long way away from that… so imo most mid season trades would be fringe players for picks. for eg.

Freo need to add picks in this coming draft /trade period and decided to move a player like Reidy to a club that needs a ruck due to injuries. He agrees look for opportunities and a financial bonus ..

Did Maverick ever fly an F15? I thought he was the F14 in the first and FA18 in the second.

F14 in Original

F18 in Sequel along with Darkstar Test Jet but it is physically impossible to hit Mach 10 as humans as of right now so that was theatrical.
