They don't really have a choice even if their players want to stay. 95% cap floor means that they have to be within 700k of a club that is right on the cap

I’m not across all this but I thought you can drop below 95% and even go up to 105%.
Just as long as over a 3 year period your average cap is between 95 and 100

Would those lads who tied for the Morrish be worth a look?

I think the kid that came second is the one who has come with a rush. Prob top10

Cowan and Campbell-Farrell polled 18 votes to finish one ahead of Gippsland Power captain Bailey Humphrey....

I dont know much about the last kid mention but id love to have someone called Ziggy Toledo on the list.

Can someone tell explain how a bottom 4 team even has salary cap issues?

The logic of players at clubs like geelong accepting less to stay and be successful is transposed for bottom sides. Players expect more money to be compensated for losing and playing in non prefered locations.. They get the best kids as they are bottom sides then have to fend off the approach of the more appealing clubs.

Same here. If we get bruhn (who will be cheaper in picks than hopper) and mckenna im happy. I dont think henry is a need but i think we will taks him if he wants to come and at the right price id be ok with that
Liking the idea of McKenna, a 3rd Irishman might work well with Touhy and MOC. And would be fantastic if Ollie Henry gets to Geelong, spiritually he belongs to us anyway under the older brother rule :)

I think the thing to remember is that we decided to remove ourselves form the situation. Which is a positive. Whether its Bruhn or Henry or McKenna or ...as you said a mystery mid

On looks at the success of Brodie at Freo ..which they got cheap due to cap relief ... I think we could arrange something like that too ...if we want.

Come on Foxdog all these people have Scott and Wells on speed dial, How dare you think they don't have a reliable source.
I knew one just a few years back (player) who wouldn't/couldn't even discuss his own injuries with his mum under Thompson as coach you knew just not to ask and I'd be pretty sure the same rules still apply under Scott regarding in house business.

Want a guy on the list we can nickname Major Tom

Love the dash McKenna has and his little 45-degree chip passes and underrated... Imagine him hitting those passes and someone dashing through on the other side to get the handball and continue moving the ball fast.

Speed like Jordan Clark but with the added ability to not just bomb it long.

Could be a very handy inclusion if it falls our way.

Not every trade-in has to be a super star to improve your team. There are many many players who had or are having decent careers after being traded - Seedsman, Hind, Newman come to mind and there are plenty of others - I just can't think of them right now.

Let's hope our recruiting people are looking beyond Hopper et al for players - mids and defenders in particular - who will fit in and improve the team.

It's while since you have seen Jordan
