Think they have a loyal bunch who will space it out at a max of 3 per year.

If they do that they'll be able to top up via free agency even if they never do much in the draft.

For example, they don't need to replace Pendles at his best only what he offers on field in his final years. He's already handed down as much of the intangibles as he possibly could.

The hole isn't the age. It's key position players. Relying too much on players who had down/injured years in 2024. Moore wasn't close to his best without Murphy down back and they haven't / can't replace him.

If their keys don't get back to their best and/or aren't healthy their structures will be out of whack like this year.
You are not getting too many free agents under the salary cap if you are offering the likes of Perryman close to $900k per year.

You don't need stars every year. If they can replace Pendlebury with a Moneyball type free agent similar in the way that we've added the likes of Acres, Hewett and more recently Haynes that'll do them nicely.

Mids who can contribute at an effective but not superstar level are a dime a dozen.
