By the sounds of it "the Process" in this instance was having a couple of bottles of red with some Aints bigwigs at one of their houses in Brighton...in all honesty if that's the process I may throw my hat in the ring....But will he go through the ‘process’
You're getting confused between couldn't physically and shouldn't physically have got there.Sure. He still gave up on it.
There are any number of players throughout history who got to balls that they shouldn't have gotten to, and in so doing produced something from nothing.
Don't think so, but then without conversations like this we wouldn't have a use for pubs. You're getting confused between couldn't physically and shouldn't physically have got there.
No one was getting that ball, I don't care what desire they have.
A friend of mine grew up with him and is still very close so I'm certain it looks deceiving and was never a chance.Sure. He still gave up on it.

I've no doubt looks can be deceiving, and that a camera perspective can make a 5 metre gap look like a hand's breadth away.A friend of mine grew up with him and is still very close so I'm certain it looks deceiving and was never a chance.

But all that isn't really to do with what I'm saying.
He gave up on that ball. In a game like ours, you cannot ever give up. You need be willing to go harder, longer, work over and over and over. Our game is full of examples of players that had every reason to give in or give it away but didn't; correspondingly, there are absolutely players - and Milne is one of them - whose inability to give that extra piece of themselves or find that smallest inch to 5 metres out of absolutely nowhere and influence a ball they shouldn't be able to and failed to win themselves a game.
Do me a favour, and watch this bit of footage:
... and you tell me that you don't think Cyril Rioli would have found a way to kick that goal.
Wayne Harmes, "come on down".Sure. He still gave up on it.

I guess he'd played the game enough to know what to waste energy on, especially at the end of a GF.I've no doubt looks can be deceiving, and that a camera perspective can make a 5 metre gap look like a hand's breadth away.

reject.I've outlined its relevance. You can accept, reject, argue with or giggle at the post as you choose.
“Bassat, however, said the Saints have “a very clear view about what we need”, promising members “we’ll get the right coach for this club”
“But instead our members get a coach that walked out on us.”![]()
Just St Kilda being St KildaRoss’s Christmas has come early, he only wanted a job that didn’t include a thorough process and you can be sure he’ll effectively be running the joint.
Absolute disaster written all over it![]()
Normally teams want to race to the top. We have 4 teams racing to be the worst.
Hawthorn: We gutted the age profile if our list and clearly intend on tanking the next 2 to 3 years, also we're under investigation for historic racist behaviour.
North Melbourne: our number 1 pick sooked his way out, we sacked multiple players, coaches, the ceo and the boot studder to appease the new coach....who can't be here because he is allegedly the racist Hawk.
St Kilda: ha!, we signed Ross the NDA Boss back. We even butchered our list so he didn't have to.
Essendon: That's cute. Two Words. Kevin Sheedy. (And everything and everyone else)
You hate to see it![]()
