Weagles fan talking about drugs? Surely not...Cool, a very dank fact I'm sure you're proud of.
Nobody else particularly cares though.
Weagles fan talking about drugs? Surely not...
That whole Geelong era was completely swept under the carpet despite their coach and a player being since convicted of dealing drugs and someone involved with their high-performance program PEDdling banned substances and causing 2 clubs he worked with after Geelong to be done in by ASADA.Weagles fan talking about drugs? Surely not...
Then I guess the moral of the story is to not get caught. Case in point the Carlton FC getting caught with their brown paper bag policy resulting in them being the laughing stock of the league for over two decades and counting. You must be kidding too.. The Bomber Thompson era at Geelong was far from squeaky clean.
You're just lucky ASADA didn't wise up to things until he took his "program" to Essendon.

Meanwhile, nothing to see down at GBH...
So please don't ever joke about another club that only snagged one flag, with half their squad actually being off the rails on recreational drugs that definitely don't enhance performance whatsoever, unless you're in a dance-off at a rave.
That's fine, just don't melt when you go looking for validation from oppo supporters for that tainted era and get none.Nah heck ya, we’re gonna joke about it.
So not only the best side this century but also wielding Illuminati levels of power and influence. What a club :OThat whole Geelong era was completely swept under the carpet despite their coach and a player being since convicted of dealing drugs and someone involved with their high-performance program PEDdling banned substances and causing 2 clubs he worked with after Geelong to be done in by ASADA.

Nah, AFL also swept a certain injunction under the rug also, if you'll recall. So not only the best side this century but also wielding Illuminati levels of power and influence. What a club :O
Gone 2 - 6 since this. This thread still rolling huh
Go Catters
I don't think we can see Geelong as anything but massive underachievers (and it's all relative of course). For all their 'dominance', for all their 'incredible winning percentage', and with the talent that's fallen into their laps and the teams they've fielded in this time, the fact that they've only won 4 flags in the last 6 decades confirms this beyond all shadow of a doubt.
By way of comparison, we have 12 in that time....
When the window is open we capitalise. The stats are there to prove it. Decade after decade. Hey my point was about capitalising on open windows - not how windows are opened in the first place. Your criticism relates to the latter and is therefore avoidant of my point. That’s a very convenient and tactical manoeuvre. Well playedWin flags thanks to zones and new teams coming in thread.
Four flags since 2007 with a win percentage of 71.58% is underachieving now?I don't think we can see Geelong as anything but massive underachievers (and it's all relative of course). The bar is set very high for The Most Successful Club of the 21st Century.Four flags since 2007 with a win percentage of 71.58% is underachieving now?
If so then how come no one else has a better record over that time?
You didn’t read the post, did you. That, or you read it but didn’t understand it. Or, you read it and only saw what you wanted to see, not what’s actually there.Four flags since 2007 with a win percentage of 71.58% is underachieving now?

How many flags do you think we should have won since 2007?You didn’t read the post, did you. That, or you read it but didn’t understand it. Or, you read it and only saw what you wanted to see, not what’s actually there.
So, read it again, and try to comprehend what’s actually been said. And while you’re at it, look up what the word ‘relative’ means….
