The point Caesar seems to be making is that it’s only terrorism when the disempowered/disenfranchised use violence to threaten the status quo.
When it’s the other way around it’s not serious at all.

I believe it's termed sparkling political violence.
Whether you like Jordan Shanks or not... he has a YouTube channel with almost 700k subscribers and his videos regularly chalk up 100k-200k views. That's not huge on the general scale of Youtubers, but his content is very specifically Australian, and generally fairly NSW focused. Under the circumstances, I think it is unfair to describe him as a "fringe" comedian. I suspect he's getting views 2x to 3x what Peta Credlin or Paul Murray might get... which is impressive, given his very amateur production.
More importantly, though, is the fact that he's reported on political corruption at the local, state and federal election, as well reporting on organised crime. The fact that this looks very clearly to be retribution for that, should be damn scary people. Bikies that shoot up houses a few times a month, are usually shooting up rival gangs. In other words... other criminals.
If a bikie gang firebombed a two-bit hack from the Herald Sun, it would probably be national headlines.

Their answer was FriendlyJordies.
Considering the correct answer was Tony Manero (John Travolta) from Saturday Night Fever's Opening Credits, Bee Gees hit "Stayin' Alive,
which is quite relevant to Friendly's current situation, I marked their learned answer as only half correct.
Since the alleged fire-bombing's of his home were on weekday's and not Saturday Nights.

that's an incredibly brave thing to do on the internet under your own name, given that people have quite literally ended up dead as the result of some streamer pissing off some random whacko on the internet - and to be honest I'd always been a little surprised that Shanks hadn't been targeted previously, given how he revels in getting up people's noses
don't get me wrong, what happened to him is disgusting and unacceptable - I just don't think it's as remarkable/earthshattering/political/nefarious as you guys all seem to be assuming

I'm sorry but for a journalist in Australia to have their home firebombed... yeah I would really hope that's unusual and earth shattering news. **** this country if that's the norm or expected.
Because I would really doubt this is the work of some angry deranged nobody who didn't like his portrayals of bogans. It's far more likely to be from one of the many heavy hitters he has targeted, and that implies some scary truths about our society at a systemic level. Regardless of how reassuring it might be to try and hand wave it away as some rogue actor.
Real journalists are meant to be campaigners. They are meant to make enemies. Shanks might have a modern edge to that component, but for better or worse in today's world you need to be entertaining if you are presenting the news. The two tracks seem to be to sacrifice the content and go into the realm of angertainment, or to have a personality that will nessesarily be polarising and abrasive. Give me the latter any day of the week. And even if you disagree, let's not try to downplay and normalize assassination attempts of them.
