Getting EH changed the dynamics of this trade period for me :D it was a bit meh until EH got to CFC

I’m glad we didn’t try to get Billing, even for a cheap F3 - it must have been a salary dump.
EH got so much scope for improvement

BTW - Thanks to all the ITK for sharing info, it helps the rest of us who we’re in the dark and the info have proven to be correct too

Getting a future fourth rounder back as well was unexpected. Wonder if that was the price for doing the 26/28 swap this year.

Solid trade period for us. B+. Nothing ground-breaking, but addressed some of our needs.

We swapped a depth mid and depth HBF, both with clear limitations that made them less than suitable for our current gameplan, for a young mid/fwd with traits that suit our gameplan, a decent draft hand in a compromised and underwhelming draft, and a little stash of late picks for points next year.

The future pick position is a nominal improvement. Assuming similar ladder positions next year, we've retained our first two picks, given up 54 and 72, but gained 60, 61 and 68. A gain of 78pts next year.

Boils down to Dow, Fisher and 17 for Hollands, 22 and 26 - plus a slight points gain next year.

Reckon we'll be open to a move on draft night.

22 and 26 on the table for a pick IF a player we like slides.

Future first added to those if a club wants to give up a spot in the top 8.

Gut feel is it won't happen though. We may even downgrade one of our picks, or trade it out for a future second, depending on how the names are called.

If the player we want is there that's when we will make our move. Like cowan last year
 
DFA period shaping as someone critical for us depth wise.

Doubt we'd throw out that much without getting something else back. More likely F1 + one of those picks.
