Agree. Hawks were very inaccurate... at the same time, * were unusually accurate as well - not too many games where they'll kick 17.5 from 22 scoring shots.

The most worrying thing for them is they're still a pack of downhill skiers, shown little to no improvement on their defensive game. They've conceded 28 scoring shots against the Hawks (who only managed to get 13 against the Demons) and 36 against the Swans...

They'll finish between 9th-13th.

Which is just trying to rough up your opponent with ā€˜unsociableā€™ footy. Giving them a harder ā€˜edgeā€™.

Unsociable footy is a euphemism for trying to get away with dog acts on the field to put your opponent off their game.

As if thatā€™s a new idea that theyā€™ve come up with. Itā€™s just telling the competition ā€œ look, we havenā€™t got the skills or tactical ability to win but we are trying to be hard to play against, hereā€™s some knuckleā€.

Geez the culture of this club is s**t top to bottom, never change you bunch of cheating Mensa graduates!

The commentary of this game was next level cringe. The way they hyped up ā€˜the inspirational Essendon captainā€™ was beyond ridiculous.

Merrett tackles - ā€œwhat an inspirational captain this young man isā€

Merrett kicks a goal - ā€œheā€™s lifting this football team on his shouldersā€.

Merrett tackles again - ā€œthis is one unbelievable game from a captain who is willing his team to a famous victoryā€ (they were three goals down).

They also brought out the ā€œbraveā€ word.

Luke Darcy the imbecile absolutely barracking for them at one stage.

Zach Merrett is very inspirational. Here is a bloke that signed a 6 year contract with * when he could have just gone to a good club as an FA and played finals. He has inspired a generation of players not to do the same thing.
 
I donā€™t care what anyone says about Collingwood, in my view this mob are the most ordinary lot in the competition by a long way.

If the AFL is serious, they will do whatever they can to eradicate this style of throwback football (thatā€™s what it is) that they are attempting to dish up.

Meanwhile, their media sycophants like Robbo are trying to say about how wonderful it is to see them doing this off the ball stuff because theyā€™ve been nice for too long. Those of us who grew up watching footy in the 1980s know that dog acts are in the dna of this football club.

I am keeping a close eye. Round 13 will come around in no time. And they will put targets on the back of our boys. We had better be ready for it.
 
Scott was always going to try and get more aggro into them - that is his #1 wood and signature style since he was a sniping back pocket player at Brisbane and all teh way through his years at Norfs- defending snipers like Ziebell for playing with a hard edge.

Pretending that this is some kind of genius new game plan that no-one had ever thought up before, however, these are tactics that have been used since the beginning of time. The better teams are able to use these tactics at times but in more controlled ways, however what the England Cricket team Essendon Football Club does is really an unskilled version of slogging sniping. The English media Channel 7 commentary team rave about the teams tactics thinking that they are genius. When the tactics of the team invariably fails, they suggest that the team at least had a moral victory were brave in their defeat, and at least that they played in a style that they should be proud of, despite losing.

The club is a soulless entity, willing to sacrifice its reputation, integrity, and any sniff of morality to beat the competition by whatever it takes!!!

Never forget the drug cheating that was instigated on the back of our club thrashing them in the previous years finals!!!

Todayā€™s version is to now play with an *Edge (TM) to make up for the numerous inadequacies of the list and game plan.

I know they absolutely despise us but donā€™t they also have major issues with North, pies, hawks, brissy and now Sydney!!!!

Surely these pricks are the most disliked club in the comp!!!
