I think it was a pen. He got caught out of position, tried to body his way back and fell over onto his leg which brought Harrison down. You can’t fall on a players leg and trip them over in the box.

You've got Trossard to blame for dropping points. Tarkowski gives him the opportunity to go down for a penalty with a poor challenge and he jumps over it.

Didn't watch the game, no idea how that was given a pen but also approved by VAR (Was it)? It's a foul at most outside the box from the initial contact. Harrison's legs have melted to get the pen.

Yep, that actually happened. If I wasn’t watching it live I would struggle to believe it possible. Genuinely never seen that happen before. He blew the final whistle. Then waved it off to allow an Everton free kick. A whole new level of officiating incompetence. At least it was somewhat poetic given in the opening minute he allowed a ridiculous challenge on Nwaneri to go without consequence, so from the first minute to the last at least he was consistently unfit for purpose.

It was already a free kick though, they didnt awarded one. Everton won a FK then the ref blew the whistle early, so Everton complained and the ref realised there was still time so let Everton take their free kick.

Dreadful in first halves for most of the season. Some days, like today, those performances are punished. Many times we've been lucky.
