Update: Tottenham squandered their game in hand, Liverpool now almost title favorites…. wonder what this would have paid at the start of the season? 1000-1?

Yeah technically according to the rules, the goal is fine. But IMO the rule needs to change.

Diaz is in an offside position and the ball is played to him. He's offside. FK for the opposition but for some reason, they dont give these. But because of the pass to an offside player, Tarkowski has to react, not knowing Diaz is offside and make the interception, he miscontrols and turns it over in a dangerous area and we go on to score.

But Tarkowski is only in that position cos he's stopping a pass to an offside player. So it should all be null and void. The rule needs changing IMO.

Oh and a good ref would let the play go on and bring the ball back if no advantage.

When we score a goal, and your first thought is to give it back to the fans then you aren’t interested in the clubs success, you’re interested in your own ego. managers cop a lot of stick and scrutiny from fans and pundits alike, and had that been something that helped us go on and win then great, and had he waited to speak about it AFTER the game then fair enough. However, it was his FIRST thought.

His first thought was to give it large over his own substitution, and paying fans have every right to support however they want. To throw it back at his own clubs fans.. and then get chalked off as well. It’s just all ego, and it’s misplaced ego as well. Were 14th, level on points with 16th. We’ve lost 16 league matches, and the only glimmer of hope is a European run, and in cup competitions this season wherever we’ve played anyone even that resembles stiff opposition we haven’t got the result. Narrowly better than Coventry, ditto against Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar, thrashed by Galatasaray, fortunate point against Roma. Lost to most of the relegation teams with a chance this weekend to make it a box set.

So yeah, when we equalise against a rival in a local derby, having been outplayed, and whilst sitting a full ten points off even being on the first page of the table, cup your ear at your own fans because you made the substitution, then in true to form style watch the goal get chalked off anyway.

Should have been sacked already. And the only way the UEL campaign will bear fruit is by doing something crazy, out of the box and very un-ENIC like and offer a bucket load of cash to a Zidane type for 6 weeks work.. Like he's a shitload of cash, just win us the UEL.

Trossard could’ve easily gone down under that challenge from Tarkowski, I suspect the vast majority of players in that situation probably would’ve.

Would’ve been a penalty and very well could’ve been a red card too. Refreshing to see a player stay on their feet in this day and age.
