Who?If someone asked you “Say something nice about Loris Karius?”, I am sure we will be sitting around for the next 45 minutes waiting for you to finish.
Haaland is a robot but at no point in his career has he ever been better than Mo Salah.
We've sat back and defended with better players and lost to Liverpool. Simple minds in the English media will say its as simple as sitting back and not conceding 6. Sure, we lose a limp 3 nil.3-6 is ugly, but if spurs had sat in and defended deep they lost likely lose 2-0 anyway. May as well have a crack
The previous games against Fulham and Newcastle were arguably better. Certainly not boring. That Liverpool/Spurs game was probably the most entertaining EPL game I’ve watched all year. It felt like the stream of exciting plays was more continuous than in your average 9 min extended highlights reel. In spite of the final result being more or less set very early in the match, it was a thrilling start to the morning.
The space both Liverpool midfielders and attacking players had though was seriously crazy. Before last night’s game Spurs had conceded same number of goals as Chelsea and were equal third or fourth best in the league. Not bad with those injuries.
A high line is not just to catch teams offside. It reduces the space for teams to play out from defence and to counterattack, with a press increases chance of getting the ball back in good position. So it helps the team retain possession and therefore defend better.
He was quite handsomeIf someone asked you “Say something nice about Loris Karius?”, I am sure we will be sitting around for the next 45 minutes waiting for you to finish.
No it didn't - he was simply not that goodWho?
Haha I actually feel for Karius. One game kinda destroyed his career.
Our midfield is awful currently. Players were just running past Bissouma all day, at least a couple of the goals came from him not tracking runsThe space both Liverpool midfielders and attacking players had though was seriously crazy.
Spurs were good at pressing the back 4, but the midfield three had a field day, as did the front three. Spurs simply were not tight enough - there was no man marking at all.
And Liverpool has scored 6 while carrying Gapko who was unsighted for the whole game. It is mental.
He had almost no interest tracking back. For two of the goals at least 3 attackers ran past him. On another 2 teammates got past him too.Our midfield is awful currently. Players were just running past Bissouma all day, at least a couple of the goals came from him not tracking runs
Did Ange say that he has no interest in training for set pieces or that he has no interest in hiring a specialist set piece coach? Because those are two very different things. The Ange disciples seem to have a binary view. You either attack or park the bus. Liverpool’s first two goals were diagonal crosses from well outside the box, which should be bread and butter for an organised defence.
Ange admitted he has no interest in training for set pieces, and clearly doesn’t value an organised defence. Was Trent afforded that much time because the players aren’t good enough? Or was there a failure to identify the threat and property instruct the players?
Hooray for a nine goal game to entertain the neutrals, though. Much appreciated.
Fifth 0-0 draw involving Everton and they've only scored in one game in the last seven.
Dycheball eh?
If it helps them stay up, all the power to it.
And before that. Not to mention he should have had three red cards this seasonHe's had a few stinkers since the change in formation.
Oh for sure, he was never that great to begin with but I still feel he could have had a far better career that what he did if that game never happened. He was quite handsome
