HS linking Draper to the Blues at 3 ahead of FOS.
Do you think North will take FOS at 2?Behind him you mean.
Do you think North will take FOS at 2?
Dee's would be nuts to do anything other than best available. You draft these kids for what you think they'll give you in years 3+. They need players everywhere for that time frame.Melbourne's tall forward issues still remain. They havent fixed that yet so a quality tall forward with one of their picks is a no brainer IMO.
Best mid available with 5.
Best KP forward with 9.
Either him or Draper more than likely.
FOS is certainly the best fit from a needs and playing style to what we have.
FOS also trained at North last summer.
You must know something that neither the herald sun, or the theage does not know
Because both predict Tauru will go at Pick 2, or you are just exercising some wishful thinking
Which one is it ?
Whilst I'd rather we trade down, I think if Richmond go Jagga (or Lalor) over FOS at 1, we'll take FOS. If they take FOS we'll try and trade down or take Draper if we can't.Either him or Draper more than likely.

Cal Twomey reported that Richmond were considering Lalor or FOS at pick 1. If FOS reached pick 6 then Richmond would likely pick him.So according to the Hun:
Richmond 1 - Lalor
Roos - Tauru (noone interested in sliding up)
Blues- FOS, Draper or Smith (in that order)
Crows - Draper or Langford
Dees - Langford, Smith or Tauru
Richmond 6 - Smith or Smillie
St Kilda 7 - Smith or Smillie or Tauru
Nobody interested in paying the price to move to pick 2 given the evenness of that top group. Plus Dees and Saints have interest in Tauru so Roos cant afford to shift pick back very far anyway if they want him.
No word on who takes FOS if Carlton were to pick Draper. As that would mess with predictions a bit.
Not this year. Cal's phantom will probably be quite off given how quiet everyone is being. This is when the intel starts getting real accurate from the footy media
By Sunday when Cal does his mock draft, can pretty much guarantee what will happen
Not this year. Cal's phantom will probably be quite off given how quiet everyone is being.
Their actual quotes are "The feeling is that North Melbourne should just take Tauru at this pick, even if it is a few spots early" and "If the Roos were to overlook him, Melbourne or St Kilda would be certain to pounce soon after."You must know something that neither the herald sun, or the theage does not know

Are they?
Give me a direct quote so we can discuss it.
Most are assumptions from I read.
Twomey certainly hasn't said that.

They've got about as much idea as you or I do.

You have seen the mcGowan mock draft in the age right?
The AFL draft is just weeks away. Here’s where the top-40 prospects could land
The draft is rapidly approaching and the 2024 class has recruiters salivating over its depth of talent and variety. We rank the top-40 players.www.theage.com.au
And this mornings mock draft in the herald sun right?
Both predict Nth take Tauru at Pick 2,
My question remains, do you know something they do not know ? Or are you just hoping they are wrong?

This is crazy
You reckon they have as much idea as me and you?
Really?
Have you even read it?
Maybe instead of being incredibly condescending, it might not hurt to read some of the articles you are basing everything as so definitive.
The Age - "This will be the draft-shaping selection. O’Sullivan, Sid Draper or Jagga Smith could go here instead, but Tauru is a wonderful fit for the Roos, who have spoken with other clubs about trading down. There is a perception that selecting the intercept defender would be a considerable reach, but he will almost certainly be snapped up in the top 10 regardless of what North decide. There is risk involved in picking Tauru, particularly this high, given his game sense is still raw, but there is genuine star quality here. He shows great courage in the way he aggressively flies for marks, and is an excellent athlete, including winning the running vertical jump at the combine."
Do you know something the above doesn't?
HAHA
Oh man, yeah I read it, I also read that next to the Pick 2 (3) that is Nth Melbournes, the name Alix Tauru is there, so that is both those journos predictions
Did you miss that bit?
I really do not get why Nth fans are being so touchy on this, there is every chance Tauru may end up being the best player taken in the draft, I mean it, he is competitor, is an awesome aerialist, a leader, and a terrific athlete
Might be one of the worst phantoms I’ve seen.
Twomey literally says Jagga and FOS won’t make it pick 7 on Gettable last week.
This Phantom - Pick 7 Jagga Smith St Kilda
