Bellatrix Star sure is interesting. Te Akua are amazing at identifying and outstanding filly/mare and getting them to perform consistently prep after prep - Melody Belle and Imperatriz are 2 of my absolute favourites of the last decade

I'm not sold on this crop of 3YO though. Big ask to hit a massive career peak and then back up against hardened pros like Bella, GK and co 7 days later

Love her but risking her tomorrow.
I ended up backing 2 horses in the sprint, Bellatrix Star obviously.....and Sunshine in Paris (it's been in my black book for 2 years and backed it in the Everest just gone .... today was its day ... the jockey helped).

On another more unfortunate note, Pride of Jenni bled from both nostrils after the Champions Mile and has been retired.

I think the swear filter would go into meltdown if I was asked to describe the owner of that very brave horse.
That prick should never be allowed to own a horse again

For those interested a horse I have an interest in Reddivo is in the first at Moonee Valley tonight. He has won two of his last 3 starts. Last up a convincing win in Echuca on Melbourne Cup day over 3200m. Tonight he is running over 3800m and in a stronger field. It's his last start before the Jericho in a few weeks which is over 4600m.
It will be interesting to see how he goes over this distance and how he handles the course. Here's hoping. Giddy up.

Good luck Turtleman3. Love a stayer and the whole Jericho concept.

Her full sister is in race 6, Something Forjo.

If it was 1612m they probably have the double. Good run home.

I didn't realise the mile at Benalla started with an 800m straight run to the first turn.

I think I'd like to go to that track. Looks in good nick today.

Something Forjo in the next at Seymour R5. Big run last start.

Edit - horrible run today

Winner of that race was most impressive but very honest effort for second from your horse. Stays all day.

Anyone having a bet today?

Got a few up last week. This week I like R3 - Little Jack, R6 - Rich Dottie, R10 - Niance, at Newcastle R9 - Naval College.

For those who like to dabble in NZ racing and Sydney autumn futures .... take note.

At Te Aroha today, a 3yr old Prosir filly (yes, another one), came from last, overcame all obstacles like an old pro and got up by a neck at her 2nd start .... after winning her first start by 6 lengths.

This thing is a proper race horse. Hankee Alpha. Black book it.

Other Te Aroha observations is that Mad Max will win at 1400m next start. Tycoon Prince won pretty well, has credentialled owners, is a farking huge horse and might have a future. Eva Magical raced greenly 3 wide on the speed for a game 2nd....wouldn't leave her out next start.

I have a Prosir mare in NZ.
Has her share of ability, but jars up bad and is frustratingly inconsistent.

I am sending to her a beach trainer next prep.
Moira Murdoch, trainer of the 1994 Cox plate winner.🏆
Great story , she bought him for $4,000 .
I think first prize that year had just gone to $1 mil to the winner ?

Solvit raced at the top level for some time against some very good horses. Unfashionably bred but ... winner.
Will your mare be going to the beach at Waiuku?
