I get the back story behind the nicknames but they are still weird choices of mascot. The Cavs were named in a competition, not for any connection to Cavaliers, I suspect it was just a nice bit of alliteration. Sir CC ok but Moondog ... (and I even looked that up, it's still bizarre).

But anyway, I don't think Port's mascot is all that strange considering what can be found it the wide world of sports. Also I have no issue with the Power nickname.

Way better than Pirates.
