Both clubs could do with him, especially WCE, but I think he seems pretty close to the squad. Being shown faith in the 22 helps, too

Would be surprised if he left, unless he got a million dollar offer

Anyone still trying to pack his bags and cash in with a trade west? He has the highest ceiling of anyone on the list.
Hope he stays, but ultimately that won't be up to us.
What I think everyone is saying is that if he does want to go, we need to make sure we get an amazing haul for Jim, one that would lead to us getting someone like Sharp.

He hasn't re-signed yet, and one would assume the club has tried to get him to extend.
Hopefully he sees the future the club has over the next decade and decides he wants to be a part of it.

He's also the one who played on after the Thilthorpe free kick, dishing of a tight handball to Walker. Had his hand in quite a few of our goals.
We knew he was a good ball user, including penetrating kick & now he is finding the ball more as he gets used to his role, he is becoming very influential. Good things usually happen when he has the ball in hand.

Reliable kick for goal too.

Pay the man. Draft his brother. House and land package in Somerton Park. Get his girlfriend hosting the Crows Show. Other jobs for the rest of his family. Crow for life.
Get her to replace that w***er Cosi on that South Aussie show.

I actually think his ball use by foot in-play has been terrible.

He is a great kick, just making the wrong decision too many times.

Would like to see him back himself more and take on a more aggressive option. He obviously has the ability just needs to back that with confidence to go for the harder more piercing kicks.

Love him and his attitude.

Who will be considered a more influential player and team mate at the end of their career? Him or Harley Reid? Its a tough one in my mind, Curtin just looks like that player that you want in the trenches - ultimate wingman - super reliable and super capable.

Reid on the other hand, feels like he would rather do it all himself, a bit of a Maverick - and maybe he can?

Exactly just use the Geelong Football Club play book on how to pay players outside the salary cap.

I didn’t realise how much speed he had. Has been multiple instances of chase down tackles already this season as he definitely catches opposition off guard due to his height and thinking he’s slow.
Definitely seems to have a lot more running power this season. Reckon he was carrying knee niggles last year which inhibited him

So good to see him in full flight. Very glad we’ve backed him in so far this season, growing in confidence every week

I've been impressed with his last two weeks. I was expecting performances where there would be some grass shoots but a write off of a year so to get back to back 13-15 disposals/1+ goal/1+ goal assist games really bodes well from the future.

After all, if you have the game to succeed in this kind of 4th tall/7th forward/4th wing Frankenstein of a role, you probably have the tools to succeed anywhere in a big way.

Adelaide Crows Round 3 deep dive: Daniel Curtin proving one of the Crows’ best improvers

Across pre-season, all the talk was about the Crows’ three recruits and Sid Draper, but Sunday’s win showed there’s another player whose flexibility is turning them into a danger side.

For the second-straight week, Adelaide’s review is going to have its fair share of Dan Curtin highlights.
The Crows’ 36-point win over North Melbourne on Sunday was the best game of the former No. 8 draft picks’ career from a statistical standpoint.

The 20-year-old West Australian had a career high 15 disposals, five marks, three tackles and two goals – as well as five score involvements – in the win over the Roos as the Crows’ unbeaten start to the season continued. But this was the moment that would have thrilled senior coach Matthew Nicks, and truly capped what looked to be Curtin’s coming of age game for the Crows. One act from Curtin was key in this. With just over six minutes to go in the third, the margin was down to 15-points after the two sides traded goals. After a Crows’ turnover the Roos were on the attack, and after a contest captain Jy Simpkin soccered the ball into the path of spearhead Nick Larkey – who finished with four goals for the game.
