Why are you here on our board commentating on matters outside of Robinson?
If it wasn't immediately apparent my comment was made with my tongue firmly in my cheek.

Also, for the record, I've been following, watching and attending U18 and TAC Cup games for over a decade now, so considering draft trends is not new for me.
As evidence here is some photographs I took almost ten years ago:

You can go back 100 or so pages to find out why I’m here.

Sorry, didn’t see any sarcasm emoji (yeah, I’m guilty of that as well often enough).

Normally I try an play a straight bat to all posts.

I'd be happy if Ashcroft went to Norf, as he's the clear number 1! So makes the options behind him, pretty clear to us - Wardlaw, Sheezel and Phillipou.

I do also think our recruiters would love Tsatas - speed and general ball use when uncontested is elite. Out of the four I've named, he has the most weaknesses; disposal under pressure, and is quite outside player - think his contested numbers count when we gets the ball from the side of congestion and runs away rather than going in and winning the ball.

I think those 3 are the big 3 outside Ashcroft. My issue with Tsatas - I would love a player like him with speed and skills, but the opportunity cost is high. There's no point having such players if you don't have elite players who can win contests.

Tsatas could be a target as you can see how much better we look when Jones starts running trying to take the game on and the crowd rises as well ..

Sam Flanders is a possible Suns salary dump like Brodie last year. I would be interested.

Drafted in 2019 alongside Rowell and Anderson, he has been starved of opportunities like Brodie was. We have gaps in our age profile and obviously gaps in midfield. Suns have multiple R2 picks and this would be a salary dump.
Heard the same about Fiorini.

No argument from me, at pick 2 I don't want Tsatas.

Quick check of footywire to see what lead to that comment.

Wish I could actually remember anything about the game! Would no doubt have been awesome watching.

Mine was "That's what we should have done to Brisbane the first time..." which I'm guessing refers to the Polkinghorne game :straining:

Top AFL Draft prospect Will Ashcroft reveals current stance ahead 'looming' father-son decision

Maybe Ashcroft to Lions isn’t such a done deal. Reading between the lines, If North gets #1 pick he might not nominate.
Which would leave Eagles to chose Warlord or whoever they wanted.
Gave a nothing answer because that's how they're media trained to.
Same with JHF lying through his teeth last year about not knowing if Norf would draft him #1, only to post-draft admit he knew a couple months in advance.

Why would Ashcroft go to Norf instead of playing at the Lions where his Dad played over 300 games? What's the logic? The Lions would likely make space to develop him and then debut him next season with a view to best 22 in two years. Going to Norf means he's competing with other young mids and deal with defeat for many years. Look at what that has done to JHF. I don't see the reasoning to keep people guessing - just lay your cards on the tables and lets get on with it.
Maybe he wants to live in Melbourne. I'm guessing if he is truly undecided its because he is waiting to see who finishes bottom. If its North, he will go there. If its us, he will go to Brisbane.

I actually went to Perth for 2 weeks for this game.

We played Bris then Freo away derby then Cats Fri night all at Subi.

Smashed Bris. Got smashed by Pav and Freo then got over cats in a classic.

The Brissy game was party time, Flat tracking 10 goal last qtr at its finest

Love the idea that if we finish last to swap it for Nths 1st and their PP 🥰

Knowing us, we'll do that, but Ashcroft nominates Brisbane because we didn't tell him he could stay in Melbourne (email issues again), then Norf take the player we rated heads and shoulders above everyone else (excluding Ashcroft), and we panic and draft a couple of HBF.
