Bear in mind Jamieson is still in the early stages of rehab and is a fair way off returning to full training.

Oh and Bazzo will s looking promising but is still sitting out a sizeable chunk of training
Do any of our campaigners actually train? Seems like every third spud is “sitting out of drills” or “not sighted at training”

People need to put their brains into gear re Oscar Allen and a potential FA move

His preference would be to stay and likely only entertains leaving if he gets a significantly better deal that offers more money and/or a longer term. So if we want to keep him it’s not necessary to match a rival club offer but only to get close enough to keep him happy

The question for Pyke/Clarke is do they give Allen the money and contract term he wants, whatever that may be. Guessing he’ll be after at least 6 years which I’m okay with provided there’s a trigger clause for the 6th year. Money is what we can afford and will be heavily front loaded

After Reid, he’s the most important signing for the club and they’ll know the extent of the risk his knee condition involves, good or bad. Fully expect a deal will be done once the chest beating from Young/McDougall is finished. Likely before the 2025 season starts

Now if I’m wrong and we don’t meet his terms-

• We’re guaranteed band 1 compensation which will probably be a top 5 pick
• We won’t match - whatever he’s being offered will be in excess of what we needed to get him to stay so if we did match, he’ll stay

So we either agree to terms with him or accept the compensation pick we’ll get if he leaves. There’s no other options

Said it the training thread. It’s a bit of a concern how many players we have on a modified training program to start preseason

I’m not sure why it is but I’m hoping we’re just being conservative

If DGB doesn't sign with Carlton i reckon he'd be a good one to have a look at prior to locking in Brock. Might be an option if Sheed goes to LTI list before the SSP closes.
I think id pick Brock over DGB tbh, if we dont have one significantly ahead of the other. Brock is 4cm taller according to my google searches, we probably need the 198cm guy who can matchup on a 200 cm KPF before yet another who can be that 2nd tall.
Gov, Maric, Bazzo, Ginbey and any KPF we throw into the backline are all more comfortable having someone else take the main KPF.

If we got both DGB and Brock then yeh ignore me, both are good

I think Kelly is a big one. Needs to spend more time out of the CBD preference would be High HFF, but i guess Wing could work. Maybe rotate with Hewett and as Hewett's tank builds they transition to Hewett being in the number 1 midfield group instead of Kelly. Probably aim to make the switch at around midseason.
I agree.
If I had to pick our main midfield rotation for 2025 right now, id be picking Yeo, Reid, Hewett and Graham doing the bulk(Graham and Reid both 70%+ CBAs, Yeo and Hewett doing as much as is reasonable), with Duggan next in line and Kelly/Baker/Hutch sharing the rest.

What's telling is that it seems to be just accepted as well. At least that's how Keysers commentary reads.

"Ryan was at the back of the pack, but that's ok he's never really been a strong runner anyway...."

"Kelly finished behind X amount of spud players in the running, all good though, he's probably carrying something.."

"Jamieson was spotted at Cottesloe having a surf, probably just on a modified program.."

"Harley skipped training to go back to victoria, guessing it's just load management.."

At least Brayden used to be cut like a diamond and blow up the Telstra Tracker when he played. No fitness issues there.

Personally think he was already in front

Now he’s put a significant gap on Burgiel

On a needs basis, Brock is miles ahead of Burgiel (who hasn’t been all that impressive this preseason imo)
thanks for your insight

He'd blow up the tracker because he'd somehow manage to hit it attempting a rudimentary pass to a bloke 15 metres away...

Apologies of this has been posted before... Chad Warner looking at property in Perth?

No, Chad. Bad, Chad. Get the deal done first. Then look for a place to live.

Allen is worth far more than Barrass wtf kind of comparison is this.

Teams will pay far more for Allen than Barrass, KPFs are worth more and Allen is younger. Teams also have access to an extra 1st rounder(in 2027).
Not if he can't get on the park. Allen needs to show some serious durability to be considered for another long term contract. Hint...the question is whether his biomechanics has been addressed to prevent the chronic knee stress?

Got told him and his misses both just followed a Perth Mortgage broker on Instagram too.

He could be doing one hell of a troll.

If he does come home, Not sure how Freo get the deal done. What player would they include? If they finish top 4 (which there is list now) can’t see Sydney accepting this years pick which will be close to to begin the 30s and future firsts, that with Chad will be worth even less with Tassie drafts etc.

Being a Victorian, I had to google the suburb to see where in relation to Lathlain it was and also Freo's home ground. Interesting where Freo's ground is, that's the closest Fremantle have ever been to Success?

Bicton is the opposite side of the river from Mosman Park so it's basically Mosman Park for those who can't afford Mosman Park.

Allen has always sounded like a loyal guy so what you say would make sense but a few things to consider that means there might be something else

1. Colin Young is involved and he is slippery meaning he could turn Oscar’s head and get a Buddy type arrangement that is left field

2. Sydney and Chad are in the air. Could Oscar and Chad swap clubs and the Swans/Eagles arrangement be something different. A game changer that forces the AFL to change the rules

3. Does Mini perform miracles and land us 12th meaning and another lower club get a FA compo ahead and the Allen compo is pick 9

4. Will Barrett work the system so hard that Laura decides to keep the first round sacrosanct and the AFL make rules up on the run

I am not saying it is happening but for me it is way too soon to guarantee anything.

You must be joking. By crikey you must have a very fragile sense of self belief.

At nearly 9pm when there is SFA to draw people to BigFooty, Keys gets on his high horse to make a statement. Traffic on BigFooty likely to be nearly zero for the next 8 hours.

Lo and behold, the smart arsed Headmaster from Queensland decides to get on his soap box while we are all asleep. Sounds like you are claiming to be right all along and validated by a moderator and not challenged since most are asleep.

You have asked why I sometimes dislike your posts. I think you just demonstrated why.

For a person that has not played the game, not coached or been employed in club development, not been employed in list management, and not been an agent, you sure are good at giving absolute certain and guaranteed opinions.

I do wonder if recruiters make decisions on who to recruit based on who the manager is.

I mean if you get a player where Colin young is involved, you would have to know you will struggle to keep the player.
