Eddie and Jimmy Bartel talking about North, and to be honest, tend to agree with a lot of it. From the outside looking in, not sure there is the 100% desire from everyone to be the best, from football to administration. We just seem happy to exist. Whilst I understand the Admin not wanting to increase the soft cap, it says a lot about where we are at, no real desire to be better.

He made a good point there though.

I don't want to hear any more about how he coached Hawks, or the lions rebuild. It's all in the past

Clarko is our coach NOW. It is day one. He has to prove he can do it.
It was a bit subtle but my reference was more to the misspelling of excruciating in the banner/ticker lol.

Agree with your points though!

Emotional hedge bets are a thing.

I don't really do it either.

Port at the line with Ratboy to kick 2 has the odds to triple your money.
I have backed him in a multi to kick a goal twice. In those games he has kicked 0.4 and hit the post twice!

12minute mark

Gee. Bucks seeing the flaws in the forward line that have been patently obvious for years and are directly reflective of list management.
Our absolute refusal to take serious steps to solve the small forward issue is damning and speaks to me of a list management approach that has completely misread the evolution of the game over the last decade

Have to stop listening as I'm heading off to work - but after hearing him lead off with "everyone has a bad day" and comparing it to the reigning premier and a team who played in a Grand Final 37 years ago, I'm not sure I want to continue.

Yeah that line had me like wtf? One bad day?!

So ****ing do it already, then you can stop crying about how expensive your membership is
I dont think ive complained about the cost. Ive complained about giving up money for this shit club. I’d complain giving up a ****in train fare watching these campaigners. They dont deserve it

Pretty underwhelming interview from Viney, but you couldn't expect much more from Garry and Tim. Some hard questions had to be asked and weren't.

I wish this interview was conducted by King and Cornes.

We need to do something to show that there is a backbone there and that we will not just be pushed around.

As it stands right now there is a cycle that needs to be broken of when the opposition ramp up pressure we wilt into nothingness. It is at that exact moment that as a collective we should be leaning into being more physical.

Alight it may not win us games but it would help break the idea that if another team goes hard they will just be able to walk over us.

It also would mean that there would be a higher level of pressure on Stephens/Fisher/McKercher/Daniel and anyone else who has shown to be a bit yellow to go when it is there turn. Because as it stands right now who ever said we have conditional footballers is exactly right.

They need to stand for something and that something needs to be for each other.

And us.

King seems unwilling to have a crack at a major factor in all this. The list

I am under no illusion that us in the outer are anything more than white noise to these blokes.

If they cannot do it for themselves and the guys they run out with they will be unable to do it for anyone else.

I think his point is, and I agree with him, even allowing for holes in the list, it shouldn't be this bad. Even allowing for periods within games where your midfield isn't firing, it should not result in the giving up as we are seeing

These media types talk big, do any of them actually put forward any hard questions when they have the opportunity?Doesn't have to be rude or disrespectful.

They all piss their pants when presented with an opportunity. Probably why they're talking about it and not doing it.

mick malthouse inspirational talking about North on footy classified. Great comments. Hope it gets uploaded here soon
I wonder who the player was that he had a chat to and how that came about. I rate Mick and reckon it would be worth getting him in to talk to the group under the guise of Anzac day.

He's not wrong. But he'd go to water like the rest of his type when an opportunity presented itself.

lol, still f***ing you over years after the fact.....

Look on this trade, we had our 1st this year on the table for the entire night.

That’s a fact, it took 27 picks until someone bit.

Regardless of what anyone says the list managers of all teams were aligned on the value of our first pick this year.

If it was such a crazy deal over teams would have jumped at it.

We rated Whitlock at 12 so according to our rating of the draft we traded pick 12 last year for our 1st this year.

Now we may of got his rating completely wrong, this years first pick could turn into Dusty albeit it’s a highly compromised draft.

But it’s important to approach to look at all angles of the trade.
Never let facts get in the way of a good story

They need to be doing the exact opposite in my opinion. They should be shown all the articles written and be so embarrassed that they are being spoken about that way. Then they need to show it with an on field response against Port. This is what should happen but I don't have faith that it will.
The beatings will continue until morale improves. Catch-22. 🤣

I reckon Crawford said it best. Until we develop a system, bring back unfashionable in your face North. Similar to what Rhyce Shaw did in 2019.
Yes it’s not sustainable and yes we will burn out, but **** if we can do something until the bye that would be ideal. We can't continue with the non-efforts of the past month.
There were a few weeks there where it was exhilarating to watch North play. I was so optimistic.
Hird spoke pretty well there. I actually felt a moment of sympathy.
I was at a luncheon at the MCG, which was the first time he had spoken publicly since it all happened. A fair amount of time had passed. He appeared for free (wasn’t a paid gig) & said at the start that no question was off limits.
I walked away from that afternoon feeling very sorry for him & all those players. Dank screwed them.
