Its the entire club not just the players. Parker was a hard nut at Sydney, now he is starting to make the same pathetic mistakes as a player because he is at North.

Underestimating every other other role at North.
Personally I put most of the blame on the players. How many freaking coaches do we need to go through!

Don't like Caro and I'm 50/50 on Cornes however one thing I would note is Kane is pretty much the only one in the AFL media who does have an original thought and isn't afraid to criticise players for being soft, going after superstars like Daicos etc.

He has got where he in the media because he doesn't hold back with his opinions and is definitely a point of difference in the AFL landscape.
I can't agree that Cornes is the "only one" in the media to do that. Kingy has no problem having a crack at players who aren't pulling their weight. Not just our players, but players at any club. And Kingy usually has facts and vision to back it up. More so than Cornes.

As sure as night follows day, fate will see to it that our pick drafts a future Hall of Famer.
The AFL should have inserted themselves and blocked us from making the trade, to save us from ourselves, because everyone could see it would be hideously one-sided and a completely unfair trade.

And then they should have pushed for our list management to get moved on because they are clearly incompetent and have been for years.

What’s King said about our recruiting? A very conflicted and gutless individual on that count. Apparently loves the club but won’t criticise his mate, no matter what.

I quite like King btw and agree with you but when it comes to us his opinion needs as asterix.

Same applies to Kane and Hinkley, JHF etc

Look on this trade, we had our 1st this year on the table for the entire night.

That’s a fact, it took 27 picks until someone bit.

Regardless of what anyone says the list managers of all teams were aligned on the value of our first pick this year.

If it was such a crazy deal over teams would have jumped at it.

We rated Whitlock at 12 so according to our rating of the draft we traded pick 12 last year for our 1st this year.

Now we may of got his rating completely wrong, this years first pick could turn into Dusty albeit it’s a highly compromised draft.

But it’s important to approach to look at all angles of the trade.

Only game I ever left in tears.
I wasn't worried for our future though because we just knew we were still at the start of a long and special journey.

Now though, we are in the absolute depths of despair. Never been lower.
I cried when we got smashed by hawthorn last year when both teams were 0-5.

We could've got Whitlock if we didn't trade 20 whatever for Daniel. We tried to trade as we were looking to split our early picks/wanted another early pick which made sense to everyone. However at some point when the value becomes none existent/so far in the favour of another club it's just time to walk away.

We got bent over on the Daniel trade.
We got bent over on the Richmond trade.

The first one doesn't happen/we hold out and pay less then the second one doesn't need to happen.
Absolutely nothing positive from this at all. Stop excusing failures/shit trades. This is why we're the worst club in modern history. Because of stuff like this.

All of the horrible contracts. The shit recycled players. The MSD failures. Our ND selections haven't been great either - even the early ones are less than 50% hits at the moment.

"North rated Whitlock 15 in the draft and second best KPF. So in their minds we traded a F1 for pick 15. Whether that ends up a good or bad deal I don’t know but I do know clubs only consider their own ratings of the draft not the actual pick number."

That is your quote from a few months back. Assume by the end of the year we'll have rated him at pick 5 or something when our first pick becomes pick 2 or 3 for Richmond.

He basically just alluded to the obvious problem. The team is just not working as a unit. I hate the term “synergy” as much as the next person - due to its constant use throughout the late eighties. However, it really holds true for North right now. We can’t keep our shape because we don’t have enough confidence in one another to get the job done. Players get down on themselves because they feel they’re letting the team down - Larkey, Jy. Others try almost too hard - X, Wardlaw. Self-preservation sets in - Zurhaar. Others take unnecessary risks - Comben, Daniel. The left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing. However, for the first time, commentators seem to have a higher respect for our “talent” than our supporters. Therefore, I expect it will turn very quickly, as Tristan says.
I've been thinking a lot about the word "synergy" since X said that. Because I think it means we won't see more than one or two changes this week.

They think we have the right cattle, they just need to play together more often.

That's why they made so much about the Wardlaw, Sheezel, Duursma, O'Sullivan and McKercher playing together for the first time (and why Duursma was brought in vs GC despite not being scintillating in the twos, and why McKercher wasn't dropped despite some terrible efforts in that game, too). It's why they only made one change despite being visibly knackered in the second half vs Gold Coast. It's why some guys get dropped easily, others have excuses made for them week after week, and others find it hard to get back in despite consistently good performances in the VFL.

I might be wrong. In fact, I hope I'm wrong, because there are at least half a dozen who could/should be on the chopping block, but I'm not holding my breath.

Has anyone from the club actually addressed the members since Friday?

Or is still only Jy's BS 3AW interview and Clarko's presser. Not to mention wheeling Tristan Xerri out to the Sunday footy show like he was a hostage.

I can’t wait for the “stick with us” positive fluff piece from Sonja, Todd, Emma etc

Jks ;)

I doubt we’ve accepted how much of an actual crisis we are in rn. Too much to handle.

I hope whitlock makes it. Even as a mere top 20 comp tall.

I'm actually enjoying the silence from the club this week, if they posted another video of a "leader" talking about; we're not happy, we know where we're at, we'll roll up the sleeves etc. I'm not sure I could stomach that bullshit.

Well that saves Kerch. The rest should be kicked out. There is no excuses, synergy or not regarding Logue, tucker, stephens, Comben, McDonald, Zurhaar, Jy.

Yeah I don't need/want to hear from the club this week. I mean we all saw 'where we're at' on Good Friday ourselves.

They should also hold off on the socials. That post about the exodus was absolute ill-founded hubris.

Yep and any social media rubbish should only be of a hard training session. I want to see Logue, Corr etc running hard, McKercher cracking in. Don't want to see or hear laughing and some underperforming wage stealer mic'd up trying to crack jokes. The time and place for the attempted funny stuff isn't now. The content last week was tone deaf, hopefully the social media team have learnt their lesson.

The issue with this is that if we get done by 12 goals on Saturday it shows that no one truly gives a ****

Then what?

At some point in the future, this club will start to operate as a serious football club and we will have that sliding doors moment.
Now not for one second do I think it will be this week or happen any time soon, but until it does turn...
Do these campaigners continue stealing a wage week after week with no genuine accountability?

I cant stomach another week of the playing group getting away with murder.

No it was 12, original post was a typo.

I am absolutely not excusing anything just giving context.

And you are right, the way it played out we have essentially traded Daniel for our 1st pick this year.

Wait till the media works that out. Traded pick 2 for Caleb Daniel 😂

First para - thankfully no! Couldn’t stand getting an email from Sonja.
