One of the greatest players of this generation.

It is my belief that Judd will pull the curtains on his career.

Judd at his prime was unbelievable. His endeavour, skills, strength, speed, evasiveness, tactical nous and competitiveness. A modern warrior.

A sad way to go out if true but it would be the best call I think. Many players often take 12mths back in the game to regain confidence and form.

Let's hope that he can continue an involvement in the game, whether it be player development, coaching or marketing the game.

What a wonderful career.

Sad ending for a great career hopefully he sticks around football in some capacity got the most out of his body and reinvented him self when he lost his pace utter champ hope he gets sent off in the right manor

i can see it. retire, start to feel better by november. come to west coast, play enough games to become a life member. at moment, he doesn't have life membership at any club (150 games criteria?).

although, surely wce will give him a life membership due to being a premiership captain. not sure if clubs including wce do that.

sad way to go out. Deserves to be chaired off the ground, he was simply amazing back in the day. He's been incredible at Carlton but his West Coast days were just something else. Broke away from stoppages with ease and was lethal in space. Up there with Gaz as the best in the modern era

Judd and Cousins were the bane of every side in the competition from 2005 to 2007. The game has seen few players better than Judd, who will surely challenge for the mantle of the best in the modern era. His career deserved a better end than this, but it's a career worth celebrating nonetheless.

Super player and arguably the best midfielder of his generation. Together with Kerr, cousins and cox he was part of the best centre square group that has played and they dragged west coast to a premiership.

He did everything possible to do the same at Carlton but never really had quite the same level of support around him. Nonetheless he lifted a club that was struggling at the time and gave them hope when it's fair to say they had little (happy for blues supporters to correct me if I'm wrong)

Will go down as an absolute champion of two clubs and amongst the top five at both (obviously at west Coast he was Carlton supporters will be better judges than me on that)

Really sad that the decision was taken out of his hands. All the best juddy

I didn't follow Juddy when he played for West Coast, just marvelled at how he always seemed to be in the goalkickers pretty much every game.

Question for Eagles Supporters: Who was his peak flat out speed comparable to in todays game? I know he was quick.. and his lateral movement was out of this world but what about his pure speed?
