Good interview by Juddy ...he almost lost it at one point so it's good to see he is human. As a Carlton supporter it was always a comfort knowing Chris Judd would be lining up with the team on a Saturday..especially through the tough times .
Great player who was pretty much an ornament to the Game.

I think it's testament to how he good he was that despite a body wasn't holding up for him over the years that he could transform his game and still be a force. Sure everyone would rather the West Coast Judd at the height of his powers, but to turn into a powerful, bullocking contested beast and carry our (Carlton) team on his back with dodgy groins, shoulders and all, says it all.

Judd at West Coast was something else. I'd almost go as far as to say Judd at West Coast was better than Gary Ablett Jnr. Moving to Carlton was the worst thing he could have done, I know he won another Brownlow but he wasn't the same. Still deserves legend status in the hall of fame, no doubt about it.
So where should he have played after he wanted to return home to victoria ?

I didn't follow Juddy when he played for West Coast, just marvelled at how he always seemed to be in the goalkickers pretty much every game.

Question for Eagles Supporters: Who was his peak flat out speed comparable to in todays game? I know he was quick.. and his lateral movement was out of this world but what about his pure speed?
In terms of pure speed I think there were others that were and are quicker but it was his burst of speed that was so damaging - his ability to put a gap between him and a pack of players in 3 or 4 steps was something I hadn't seen before or since. He was absolutely electric and you could feel it in the crowd whenever he was around the ball

Super player and arguably the best midfielder of his generation. Together with Kerr, cousins and cox he was part of the best centre square group that has played and they dragged west coast to a premiership.

He did everything possible to do the same at Carlton but never really had quite the same level of support around him. Nonetheless he lifted a club that was struggling at the time and gave them hope when it's fair to say they had little (happy for blues supporters to correct me if I'm wrong)

Will go down as an absolute champion of two clubs and amongst the top five at both (obviously at west Coast he was Carlton supporters will be better judges than me on that)

Really sad that the decision was taken out of his hands. All the best juddy

I'd agree with the second paragraph. Knowing everything about the trade I'd do the Kennedy trade again. He lifted the Blues out of the wilderness with his arrival and made them somewhat relevant after years of irrelevance following the cap breach. As great as Kennedy is at the moment, he wouldn't have helped at the time and probably would have been wasted at the Blues so it was very much a win-win for both clubs, I'm just glad Judd got to play for my team!

Carlton will celebrate Juddy in Round 21--August 23rd--against Melbourne at the MCG.
It's a shame in some ways that west coast and carlton have played this year already - would have been great to see him have a send off before the two clubs he represented with such great distinction

It would have been great to give both sides the opportunity to send him off :(
They've chosen our last home game of the season instead I suppose

Hopefully given it's so far out he'll have recovered enough to be able to walk a lap of the G.

Thanks for the good times Juddy. Would be nice if he came back to Perth so Eagle fans could say thanks and goodbye.

Used to love watching C.Judd in his prime, weaving through packs at ridiculous speed, breaking ankles etc.

One of the best players to watch live.

Well done Juddy, great career!
