Body shape (he’s basically the same height and weight as West) and rating only (West is pretty unique in the modern game if he starts to develop a contest mindset).

Dees fans were having their minds blown similarly to ours in his first year which he spent in the VFL (36 goals in 18 matches at 18yo). On your follow up comment Membrey was enormous on Thursday night. With Cripps barely going and Naicos only getting off the chain in the second half if Weitering had a Sam Taylor OR like night we lose. I don’t think he misses when fit this year.

He reminds me a bit of Fogarty, strong through the core and can stand strongly at the drop of the ball. Really strong eyes in a marking contest. West is probably a better athlete and looks a reliable kick as per Fog as well.
West might be a smidge taller but has that compact rather than rangy look, plenty to work with.

He did kill them. Shorter, but too strong for them - his hitouts were good and he just won clearance after clearance.

I'm not saying he'll ever be even 1/3 as good, hell only time will tell if he even makes it, but there is something about him that "reminds me" of a very young and raw Jonathan Brown in his first season.

Fingers crossed.

He's a really smart player, but still the 3rd in line, as the other Ms are more important for structure as they're a lot more dangerous in the air.

So Charlie should be able to track ahead of him after his first game, but then again so did Andrew Tranquilli.

Kicking 4 or 5 in a big VFL win means nothing yet really. Doing it consistently and building his forward craft, leading patterns, positioning etc is when he’ll be ready for a crack in the seniors

The pressure will come if doesn't do a lot next week

no need to rush him, let him develop in the two's, if an opportunity arises through injury or bad form, and he is banging the door down with great form, then by all means select him.
