Wow, one change through Injury…. Talk about making a statement JLo…
Rofl. There's no one banging the door down to come in, all the better players are injured. Change for the sake of change is dumb.
Plus, if last week's game goes for 2s longer we win. A lot went wrong but a lot also went right against a pretty good team.

I’m tipping we revert to a two talls forward line. Luke and Josh to share the ruck. Voss and Reidy watch from the stands. If we need another tall in the forward line the options include Draper, Cox and Chappy.

I suppose Maric can be their 3rd tall defender as he played there last week but he also plays wing and forward.

At least Aish for Banfield or something… I disagree a lot went right last week, we scored 9 (only 5 after QT) goals against a team missing 6 best 22 players… that’s horrific.

Aish and Banfield do not even remotely play the same position.

I’m not going to defend our last two weeks but going “Sydney had all these injuries” without accounting for our own injuries is pretty weak

Dudley and Walker don’t play the same position either, but that’s the change that’s been made.
Dudley in for Banfield and Aish in for Walker actually makes a whole lot more sense. We need to start dropping blokes that aren’t performing - tell me what Banfield has done in these first two weeks that warrants continued selection?

We have two major injuries, if you’re going to include Fyfe and Walters who a lot of people had retired last year then sure, but in comparison to Sydney we were healthier and at home. We kicked 9 goals…

I shouldn't expect anything less but people on social media again are whining about Brodie.

This dude has somehow convinced people he's the missing piece when he doesn't even perform well at WAFL level, yet all people see is his disposal count and their mind goes "High disposal = good game"
It's a lie to say he doesn't perform well at WAFL level

A more accurate statement would be he is almost never the best performing player at peel

I mean fair, I'll retract my statement, he's okay-solid at WAFL level, but not to the point that people act likes the missing piece or messiah to our side.

Haven't we also been complaining we've gone into both of the first two games with too many defenders? Not bringing a defender in for Walker I would have thought would make people happy.

Defensively it was great, held Sydney to a low score. There is something that went right.

Isn't this move good recognition that we need to turn the dial towards being more attacking - replacing a defender with a forward.

It’s good to see Reid get backed in. If this was last year he probably would have had one game as sub, then been dropped the following week.

It’s going to get tougher. Try this as a mental exercise. Go through the 23 named then add these players one at a time. Each time you add one pick the player you want to remove.
Young
Darcy
Switta
Fyfe
Walters
Sturt

It’s really really hard to still have Reid there at the end even if you don’t actually want all those players in.

If anyone can get even 4 in without taking Reid out it means you’re probably taking Erasmus out. 5 probably Frederic or Johnson. Good luck with the rest.

That’s without taking Simpson into account. Or Brodie or Aish. Of course there will be injuries but it’s going to get tougher.

First part I agree with but second part isn’t true. Only reason Amiss got the mark is bc siren went and the swans in front of him stopped.

Seriously, you’re setting yourself up for unhappiness. At least 95% of the reason we played like we did against Melbourne, was because Melbourne let us play like that. Melbourne rolled over, imploded and set about fertilising the grass. It’s no big acheivement to pile on 20+ goals when you’re the only team on the oval.
yeah, so we're playing a Yeo and Waterman-less WC. We should be able to play how we want.
