Yes but we will all watch it anyway :)

If Crouch needs some numbers then our current midfield hasn't presented a lot recent resistance...

You guys have gone in tall and us short and slow - should be a battle for the ages!

Crouch (either) needs impact not numbers.

Does he though - I haven't seen him do it this year yet?
Great story being a Crows supporter but sadly hasn't got the goods for AFL.
I've seen him do it a few times. He doesn't do it as much as he should but still better than Himmelberg so far this year. He can at least compete for a contested mark and bring the ball to ground, which we missed last week vs the Saint's.

Essendon could play their second string backup VFL reserves midfield with a bench of U16 players to rotate into said midfield and still smash the Crouch brothers
Yeah but Matt The Stat would get 50 disposals.

Sorry yes - effective numbers. I've read some of the criticism. It will be interesting to see how he responds. Some of our mids have taken to panic dump kicks forward and thats no answer either. We have OK through the middle at times this year but we are undersized. If teams hunt our runners it can fall apart quickly. I think this could be a close one

Strange year though. A loss here could see us tumbling or a win in the top few. Personally i'd just be happy to see a 4 quarter effort after last weeks smashing. Good luck for the game and the season. Watching Saints and Port last night shows that things can be turned around pretty quickly - i think we are close to needing a big overhaul as well.

That 1st para can apply to the AFC - we dont hunt so no fear there.

I am one thought Frampton whilst certainly not starring showed he could take a mark or get near contest and given regular games get more confidence to crash packs etc.
But most have to agree would do better job up forward than Hartigan after a disaster game last week and Himmelburg both up forward and in ruck .

Laird has been good since moving to the wing, allows him to play a more attacking role that suits his strengths. Hartigan up forward... not so much.
True - but he was still shuffled after McPherson showed something . Credit to Nicks for not dropping McPherson - but shifting Laird means young Mackay needs to find another spot and Sholl misses out

Maybe a final test for Nicks. They're sh*t is their usual positions. Try somewhere else to see if they might be better there...if not....see ya...
That's what I'm hoping. Hartigan is an obvious candidate for delisting because he's a panic merchant. Maybe somebody picks him up as a dfa but he's a depth player at best. Given we're spooners this season and Nicks has potentially McAsey or Butts to try in that defensive role, sending Harto to the forward line has surely got to be his last chance to keep playing AFL footy.

Aren't we rolling 6 day breaks at the moment? And you know that taking it 1 week at a time isn't a cliche at our club. It's a fundamental tenet of our total footballing philosophy.
Yeah, I got a week ahead of myself.
