Clurey for Aliir
Burton for Rozee
Scully for SPP

We don't need any more runts in the midfield or forward line

Good luck for the showdown black and white brothers.

Any update on Rozee? On one hand selfishly asking for my supercoach, on the other he'd be my favourite non Collingwood player to watch when he kicks on the afterburners and pierces through zone defences with ease.

Evans / McEntee / Narkle for SPP
Burton / Clurey for Aliir
Mead for Rozee

Give Finlayson another week off, 3 talls is enough.

We laid the most tackles this week and if we want to beat the Crows we need to bring pressure all game and sweat on their defenders. Can't rely on any champagne football crap, SPP goes out so another pressure forward comes in

I'm a hard no on Burton until he has a 5 tackle, 5 1%er, 20 disposal, 8 mark game in the ressies

I'd bring in Clurey for Allir and play him on Fogarty. Before his jaw injury he was a reliable second tall defender. Yeah the game went past him and there's not much room for your dour types anymore. But if there was one game....

Mead for Rozee hurts but that's footy and we should have the midfield cover

Finlayson for SPP is the one that is going to have a bigger impact than people think. SPP was looking back to his best in terms of being one of the comps better pressure forwards. His injury sucks. Showdowns are his type of game.

We'll need to adjust and adapt our ball movement, leading patterns and set slow plays to cater for the tall timber. Georgie needs to get on his bike I think and really push up.

The Port of old would have licked it's lips at this and seen it as an opportunity to really set up a season to gel a squad together.

The Port of today would already be reaching for excuses.

Crows by 5 goals

Narkle is injured. And Mead played but was sub, so we need to have another come in. I'd be playing Finlayson. He was just starting to light it up against Essendon, when he is in that form he is a handful, and provide some ruck support too.

Dixon, Marshall, Finlayson and Georgiades though?

Just remember that Adelaide's biggest loss of the season came against Fremantle who played the following forward line:

Taberner - 197cm
Amiss - 196cm
Treacy - 193cm
Banfield - 190cm

There is absolutely room for us to play all of Dixon, Finlayson, Marshall and Georgiades in the same forward line. Finlayson, Marshall and Georgiades are quite athletic for talls.

The amount of people on this thread that don't know Finlayson is not playing against crows as still servicing 3 wk suspension.....:thumbsdownv1:
Au contraire, my stupid feathered friend - Finlayson missed games against Fremantle, Collingwood and St Kilda.

He's available this week.

2-3 week hammy

I'm not bringing in Clurey, he's been tried and failed before, he needs to be delisted. Whoever he plays on will kick at least 3, he's either too slow or not big enough for any of the crows forwards.

I'm playing Bergman as the 3rd tall.

BZT on Tex, the other 2 can interchange on their 2 spuds.

Not keen on playing mead in any position, but certainly not as Rozees replacement too much of a plodder to play full time mid, hes slower than crouch. Mead can play sub.

In Evans burton Finlayson
out SPP rozee and Allir

Marshall on his last chance

Despite Laird and Crouch pretty much getting only handballs, they seem to do well against us because we collapse towards the ball leaving an outside player free. You'd rather these guys kick it because they crab it sideways leaving us time to set up in defence. Our midfield has to stop Dawson and Milera getting the handball receives from these two.
